Hey, someone's cribbing Dwarf Fortress again - John Smedley's Hero's Son

Summary: A 2D pixel art iteration on Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode! The main reason I say it iterates on Dwarf Fortress is the fact that for each game the world history is procedurally generated in a way that sounds exactly like Tarn Adam's labor of love, Dwarf Fortress. You then adventure in that generated world, just like Dwarf Fortress Adventure mode.

 

(Please, someone just give Tarn Adams and his brother a sinecure so they can work on DF forever. Thanks.)

Any art is pixel art if you look at it on a computer screen.

If they can procedurally generate something that looks that solid, hooboy, they're pretty good.

 

Doesn't look like they're gonna make their goal, though.
