Quick Question about Protocol

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, just wanted to get your thoughts on something, since I've never done a Jam before and I don't know what's proper. I've been continuing to work on my project a bit since the jam ended, and I'd love to keep updating the game.

Is it OK to replace the itch.io project with new versions, or should I create a separate project going forward so that my original entry remains where it was at the deadline?

For the last jam some people (me included) kept updating (mostly for bug fixes in my case).

It's not like there's any official prize or anything. I doubt anyone cares; it's all about the fun of jammin'!

Yeah, what Twig said is accurate. But if you wanted to, you could leave up the original jam deadline build for anyone who really wants to see what you did within the 2 weeks, and upload newer builds too. Itch.io lets you host several versions of your game, and lets you label them accordingly.
