Oh my. (The imgur for easy reposting elsewhere. http://imgur.com/a/kxR1j)

A decade since I last (and first) watched it, Battle Royale sure is still a movie.

Roddenberry had nothing to do with Voyager, and neither should anyone else.
-
Andy recently tweeted that the PC version is about a month out of being finished, but won't be released until the other versions are done.
-
Played around with it a bit when it was first demo'd, and I like where it's going but it needs to get there before I get really excited.

You should ideally always have a slot open for a TP scroll, and always have one in there. It may seem like a lot of gold over the course of the game, but the towers it'll save you and the ganks you can turn around are always worth it. Even if you're swimming in gold, replace one of your early items with a better version, rather than going to 6 items. Unless all your towers are gone then go ahead. And always keep in mind money for buybacks. -

The politics on display (Roddenberry's) were never shoved in your face (with a few sad/comical exceptions like Let That Be Your Last Battlefield), but they were always lingering just below the surface if you went looking for them. Thankfully, it's easy to not do that and just enjoy Shatner being Shatner.

A Private Little War is a commentary on proxy wars, yes.
-
How very wrong you are, TP. Star Trek is all about sociopolitcal views, wrapped in a nice, campy shell so that's it easy to (and you should) ignore them.

There is a reason everyone clamours so loudly about the Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion. They are just cool.

Were you... born yesterday? How does that happen?

That was its original form, and I would have bought it in a hot minute for D&D. This... less so.

Speaking of thread revivals, who here doesn't have JC2 on PC because they are a sap?

Don't know what you're talking about 'blix.

- The apocalypse premise. It's never made clear whether it's the war or the destruction of the ozone that causes the major depopulation, but the fact that it's not "a lot of fucking nukes" is nice. EDIT: Unless, I just realized, when they mean "the sun came down" they just mean "a lot of fucking nukes" and then that's out the window. - The cinematography, especially of the initial melee fight scene. - Some of the detail put into the world/fiction. - Gary Oldman - Denzel Washington - The fact that it's so contained, relatively speaking. I guess that's partly due to him being so close to the end of his journey here anyway, but it all takes place in a very condensed area and manner. - The idea that they would choose Alkatraz to rebuild humanity from. Of course, .

Boy, Book of Eli sure is a simultaneously great and terrible movie.

You can actually place his ward such that it's inside the bubble while you're unfrozen outside it. -

Items are granted every so often for time played. TF2 rolls a die in the background every time you play for 3 hours and successively each hour after that until you get an item, I assume it's similar here. (Though the intervals may have changed since I bothered to learn that when the item drops first came out for TF2, so.) -
http://www.rockpaper...oes-win-8-only/ What the fuck. I am disappointed, as I've been looking forward to SotS for a long time now.

I've mostly stopped, they're going with the LoL model of releasing blatantly overpowered stuff to get peoples money and then nerfing it a week later. Not to mention it just doesn't feel right. I'm now waiting for MW:O.
