This guy last did Disney movie composing. (WARNING: WHAT THE FUCK.)

Points can't stand anyway, they're two-dimensional. (Lying about science for the sake of a joke is a sin, I'd imagine.)
-
Huh. Well my points stand.

We have a thread for this you know. So you have two options as Invoker for lane and rune control as a mid Invoker. One is going to take you a bit longer to work up but if you've got decent (Beastmaster or Enchantress level) micro, you should do fine. That's the Qwas/Exort 4/4 Invoker for two Forge Spirits. You get a bottle or a Basilius and you camp your opponent with Forge Spirits. Get yourself Phase Boots and a ward and be proactive at getting to the rune first. Cold Snap + Forge Spirits is a kill on many mid heroes. Your other option is any of your damage and control spells. Deafening Blast can serve as this but you should have that off cooldown for being ganked. Your best options are; - Go Q/E 4/4, have Forge Spirits farm with you, take a point in Wex to Tornado the incoming creep wave and let yours walk under it to their tower. Hold their creeps with Forge Spirits and three Exort actives. - Meatball. A full Exort meatball will take care of a creepwave no problem. This means locking yourself into a Sunstrike/Meatball lane phase build and personally I'm not fond of one orb builds. - Ice Wall (Which you should have anyway.) Get phase boots, provided it's not QoP, and play Who Can Be The Biggest Dick in rune control races. Have a ward up (don't need two, just one), wherever the rune is, race for it. The ramps are placed such that a long enough Ice Wall will block the other person and slow them enough to allow you to get the rune. It's tricky, and anyone with a sufficient movement ability will happily ignore it.

My main complaint with mouse controls in the first game was that aiming felt imprecise and floaty, and I'm having no problems with it this time around, aside from the stupid inbuilt sway. The first game it felt like my aim was always sliding past where I wanted it, wasn't going as fast/slow as it needed to be, felt like my mouse was on ice. Second game, point and click.

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube

I would assume (maybe it's something to ask the GB crew? They're pretty in with John Drake), that they have a test function on the prototype guitars or within the dev build that runs those ridiculous levels over and over and over again for flaws. -
The combat felt terrible (even once I'd turned off all the stupid inbuilt decisions like mouse accel), the environments were bland, both visually and geometrically, and it felt like it adhered too closely to Diablo 2, which I also didn't like.

If you're willing to sit through some crazy Stepmania play for a great ending, do so. If not, skip to 1:47 -
Missile defense drones are often invaluable because you want to (typically, can change depending on ship) get your shields up to three which means no conventional weapon will damage you, but the missile will go through your now-downed shields.

Paying mercs to slow the fleet is a wise investment most of the time.

So I hated the first Borderlands, but 2 fixes all my issues, That said, it has the best villain ever, minor spoilers though. http://tindeck.com/listen/xjzw

Play Nethack next. Or Moria.

Die forty times and I'll think about it.

I think he was the best villain in the trilogy, honestly.

El Muerte has the right of it. It's basically a beta right now, and Valve is continuing to figure out what they want it to be.

Easy gives you too much scrap and too much loot, stay on Normal.

All you have to say is Gary Oldman and I'm all aboard the train wreck.

Get me a CD or I will insert a sharp, homemade knife into your abdomen. (Nice!)

Unicorns can appear as early as floor 1.

Well, I appreciated the well-paced and filmed action of Haywire, and the fact that people didn't bother with expository bullshit and just killed people they needed dead, but it read like a bad Bourne coattails movie. Oh well, worth the watch, recommended if you like good fight scenes and a somewhat cliche spy thriller. Also Michael Douglas can still do sleezebag like few others. Oh, and Antonio Banderas looks incredible in a full-on beard.

Weird. The NWN2 Platinum collection was available on Steam for at least a little while, being that I own it. Your best bet is probably Amazon.- 214 replies

Towns is actually a terrible attempt at a graphical DF, whereas Gnomoria is starting with DF stuff (without the ridiculous simulation complexity, so it's not fair to blame him for just straight out jacking their "heavy lifting") and he's going to expand it beyond that. Towns isn't worth the money, Gnomoria is getting there. If you won't support Gnomoria for being a DF "clone" you really shouldn't support Towns. Towns is trying to make it a more above-ground complex, where the only end-game is to go down 12 levels of dungeons and once you clear those out it's over. Gnomoria is going for the DF-style endless game while attempting to make it playable by the layman and add things that Toady could add in the future, but in a couple years instead of a decade or two. Survivors of Ragnarok is attempting to make a 2D DF-style game, and has made a lot of recent progress, but it's taken about three years to get to a state where it's even an alpha of a game.

When you do, and you should, pick up the recently released cut content community patch. There's a lot of stuff that was missing from KOTOR 2.- 214 replies
