The real fun of Monaco is not when everything goes right, but when everything goes horribly wrong and the game turns into an insane, brightly colored Benny Hill chase. This is of course exponentially more likely to happen with other people playing so the game is pretty reliant on the multiplayer. Those moments when everything lines up just right and you can pull of an amazing heist are also super fun, but again they rely on having other people around.

WHAT HAVE I DONE Also I hate to ruin the pun fun but kong in mahjong is not pronounced like the kong in Donkey Kong. Pong is also not pronounced the same as the pong in Ping Pong (hence the 3 different spellings in the Wikipedia entry).

I've said this in other threads, but I've given up buying gaming specific keyboards. They always come with additional features/buttons that I never end up using. These days full keyboards for me are just for typing stuff so I try to find something comfortable (I actually like the split ergonomic ones). For actual gaming, I've found I much prefer gaming keypads. They feel much more comfortable, are much more functional, and I feel are overall a better bang for the buck since I tend to utilize all the features. Of course if you want something wireless then everything I've just said is moot.

I have the predecessor to the G500 you have shown. They're virtually identical from a functional point of view and I've been mostly happy with it. The two complaints I have are that the thumb buttons are a little too close and hard to distinguish (which you can eventually get used to) and my right click is starting to not work, but I've had this thing for probably 5 years so overall that's not bad.

Some people on the DF forums have taken it upon themselves to make Bad Golf 2. It's not one of the prototypes I was interested in, but still it's really cool to see this kind of support. http://www.doublefine.com/forums/viewthread/13136/

Supposedly, the tile matching game is a form of mahjong solitaire, but honestly I've never seen it done in real life, whereas actual mahjong is played all the time. In China, there are special parlors with tables specifically designed to play mahjong. They're actually kind of cool, they shuffle and arrange the tiles for you.

I like the first DKC because there was some fun platforming and I played it with a friend. Every game after that felt repetitive and unnecessary.

I didn't want to start a new thread just for this, but the Random Thought or Movie/TV threads didn't feel appropriate. Harold Ramis passed away. Super sad to hear this. Egon was always my favorite Ghostbuster. http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/chi-harold-ramis-dead-20140224,0,2259309.story

I hate the perception those mahjong tile matching games give because it's not what real mahjong actually is or how it is played.

I second Friday Monsters sentiment. It's weird and goofy, but totally charming in a way I'm enjoying more than I expected.

Replayable Narratives: Does Anyone Even Play a Game Once?
SecretAsianMan replied to TychoCelchuuu's topic in Video Gaming
This is it for me. If the choices or decisions I made the first time didn't give me a satisfying result, I'm not likely to do it again in hopes of a better one. If I did get something I found rewarding, then on a second play I'd probably do it again. I don't like the notion of seeing game content simply because it's there. I made my choices the first time for a reason. If I'm doing it differently a second time, it's only because it's there, not because it has any meaning to me. I'll still do it though, which is why I often don't replay games like this because I don't want to dilute the experience.- 41 replies

This sums up my feelings about Final Fantasy (all of them) I also can't get into Metal Gear (METAL GEAR?) and any game whose principle goal is to make you shit with fear (Slenderman, Amnesia, Outlast, etc) because I am a baby.

I would have put this in the baby animal thread but there's a human in it.

Lots of firsts for me. First time using Vlad's cape. First time recording and uploading to YouTube. And first time being first on the leaderboard. I also streamed it but that technically wasn't the first time. Also snagged the Speedlunky achievement earlier today. -
I successfully speedlunked. Took about 2 hours.

Hey guys! I was wondering If you guys have received your KS Rewards, I can't find mine!
SecretAsianMan replied to CrosswalkNorway's topic in Idle Banter
I did back at the vinyl level, but I've gotten all the rewards that have been sent so far. I was mostly just being an annoying customer (asshole). I have however moved since the initial survey so I would appreciate a request for new mailing addresses. Also this is rad: https://twitter.com/vanaman/status/437123417708716032- 141 replies

I was having a really good run, ghosting 2 vaults and grabbed a ton of health in the City of Gold, but I made a miscalculation on Olmec and couldn't get to the door to Hell. Well nuts. Also I'm considering streaming my daily runs while simultaneously talking myself out of it every time. -
The plasma cannon has a very low chance of dropping, so he was INSANELY lucky. I didn't watch any of it live and there's no way I'm watching the whole thing, but I did skip around in it. Here are a few bookmarks: City of Gold Breaking the old record Yama
