I don't mean to be a kill joy but I'd kind of appreciate it if you guys could quit that now. I know that no one means any harm by it but I did have a very stressful and frustrating day and frankly the jokes are making me more upset because I feel they're at my expense even though I'm sure that's not the intention. RE the Friday's appetizer thing: I read the first half of it this morning and the second half in the afternoon. During the time in between my day got really shitty so I went from getting a laugh of out of it to really resenting it. No one's fault really, just an unfortunate series of events.

Apologies in advance for interrupting actual life events with my own crap. I came into work this morning happy it was Friday and looking forward to a weekend. I was hoping to be able to leave a bit early. The project I've been working on for the last year or so seemed like it was going to be on track to finish on schedule, but today I got several phone calls in a row that basically ruined that dream and now I'm scrambling to get a bunch of issues resolved or risk delays. That might not sound so bad except that schedule delays for the thing I'm doing might have to involve asking the NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) for a time extension, which would be VERY bad. I'm not even sure how to resolve some of these issues. In the span of 2 hours, my day went from "Man, TGIF" to "OH MY GOD HOW THE FUCK AM I GOING TO DIG MYSELF OUT OF THIS HOLE". I'm a little bit stressed right now.

Comcast is the best at being the worst. What is the worst use for a sticker? I don't mean worst as in "that's a dumb place for a sticker", I mean worst as in "that's evil man!". My first thought was a sticker on an oxygen tank that always shows full.

I've only ever played Cards at PAX while waiting in line for panels and that's only because they give away small packs all over the place. I never really got it as a commercial product because surely you and your friends could come up with better, more personally hilarious stuff if you wanted instead. I haven't actually read Temkin's statement, but my current uninformed opinion based on what I've read here is that it seems like a veiled threat. It's like owning a gun but wanting to be congratulated for not shooting someone when you had the opportunity (which Temkin maybe doesn't even have).

I like it, but not as much as most people apparently. I think it's mostly fun but I completely get what you're saying about it being tedious. On another note, I think I beat it last night but my game crashed and I haven't attempted the boss again. The complete lack of music during the fight should have tipped me off that something was wrong. At first I thought it was just a strange but kind of cool design choice to have a final boss battle without music.

Man, I go away for 2 days and look what happens. I've just read the last couple pages of this thread and the only semi-meaningful thing I can say that hasn't already been said is that I was unaware of the term mansplain until now. And I'm possibly more confused now than I was when I didn't know it existed. I also agree with Problem Machine and dislike the tendency of internet arguments (outside of this forum) to deal in extremes. "If someone has possibly done something bad, then they are definitely evil and will be for all time. Unless they did a thing I like in which case the inverse is true and the accuser is the devil and should be treated as such." Neither of those positions is constructive if you ignore everything you don't like. Not accusing anyone here of doing this, in fact quite the opposite. Discussions like these make me unbelievably thankful that the bastion that is this forum exists.

I'm not opposed to it if everyone in a given lobby is going to use it, but it's a hassle to get going mid game. Should be ok if we plan it out in advance but it probably precludes talking to any random people who fill up extra space.

I very occasionally get the sound of the voices confused, but even then I usually know who's talking because of how they talk. They all have different ways of expressing themselves along with some tendencies and personal idiosyncrasies. I feel like even if you replaced the actual voices with one neutral voice, I'd still be able to tell who was who just by what was said. If you mean someone saying it as a joke but then it actually happened, then this might be the first, but there have definitely been .

I think some of the platforming is a bit difficult, but I'm with Twig. I found it annoying at times but got through it without too much difficulty. I actually found some of it pretty interesting, it's just unexpected given what the rest of the game is like.

I picked this up for the 3DS last night. So far I'm enjoying it, but I feel like his movement is really slow and it's throwing me off. I keep thinking I can make jumps that I can't or end up getting hit by attacks because I'm not moving out of the way fast enough. I'm getting used to it though. Also I beat 4 bosses before Tegan told me I could change the relics from up+attack to an actual button. Doh.

I have an American midwestern accent when I speak English. I've been told I have an American accent when I speak Chinese, but I have no idea what that means or sounds like.
