I've been told not to post publicly what I'm working on. But! I figure vague references are safe. Reception seems mostly positive so that's cool.

You and me both, brother. ;_;

... Is that official art? That's fucking beautiful and imbues me with a fuck load of hope for the game if so!! There's gonna be something I worked on on the E3 show floor for the first time ever and it's kind of exciting!

Idle Weekend June 10, 2016: One (Million) Console Future
Twig replied to Chris's topic in Idle Weekend Episodes
I mean a lot of people buy new iPhones every year because they are... well, I won't judge. Okay I'll judge but I won't vocalize said judgment in detail. This doesn't seem to be a HUGE step away from the concept. It's not like you're required to buy the upgrade every time, either. I imagine the ideal is every two or three "generations", you'd end up starting to see older versions become obsolete or no longer actively supported. That said, I think the biggest hurdle is development. All those devs who are console exclusive because they don't have the resources to expand to, for example, PC, well, they're required to use those resources they didn't previously have to support older consoles and newer consoles at the same time, and I can't even IMAGINE the shit they'll receive if the New Console Version isn't visually superior to the Old Console Version. -
This game is NSFW. ):

Don't talk about points! It's bad karma.

jake r u trolling me with that ANIME comment ):< TF2 is about to get a huge update that will finally add competitive matchmaking, among other things. I personally am pretty fucking excited about it. It's entirely possible it's too late for competitive focus though. Which is a shame because the game is better now than it's ever been. They've also had in the past year or two a ton of awesome updates (including massive balance patches, new maps, new game modes, new cosmetics (very few actual new weapons, relatively speaking)), so the game is well alive right now. It's just also kinda... stagnant in terms of community. Unfortunately, I dunno what a decade old game can really do to grow its community. Seems like its time is coming to an end, or even arguably long past. Which is fine, no game lasts forever, but I sure wish it would, haha. I wonder how the people who dislike all the weapons in TF2 will feel about overwatch a few years down the line when a bunch more heroes are in the game, effectively making it just as theoretically convoluted. I imagine the distinct separation of heroes will make it easier to swallow than the admittedly muddled weapon loadout system. TF2 could really do with a UI overhaul in that regard. Hmm hmm hmm. The future will be fun. EDIT: I've also heard recently that Valve is interested in, though has no immediate plans for, becoming more involved with that actual competitive community. Personally i find comp tf2 in utter snore fest to watch. Same goes for most other fps games. Really fun to play, though. At least, highlander. Not a fan of 6s. I'm rambling now!!!

Oops I thought it was going to be Sunday. Oh well, guess my late last minute one day private catch up jam now that I finally have time is pointless. Dangit! Stupid E3 demos.

Is this part of the game!!!!

My response to you was meant to be a friendly joke 'cause I thought the phrasing was funny! Sorry! My response to Badfinger was legitimate bafflement! Shrug.

Oh I didn't know it was okay to say I don't like a candidate. Thanks for letting me know. What? More of the same means exactly what it says. I don't know what's confusing about it? Four/eight (please not eight) more years of Obama. The country needs more than tiny incremental highly compromised steps to survive the coming decades. The world does. Even Sanders isn't really enough, but he's at least a step in the right direction. Or would have been.
-
I don't like Hillary and have no problem saying so. She's better than Trump, but she's just More of the Same, otherwise, and More of the Same is not what the country needs. I also see wild accusations of racism and shit thrown all willy nilly at Bernie. Wish people wouldn't act like it's all one-sided. Makes it really difficult for me to even pretend to want to be involved in politics ever again. This election cycle has done nothing but show me how fucked up it all is and how much I hate it and I hate the people involved and I never ever ever want to look even accidentally in the vague direction of politics.

I may not like Hillary but I sure do like this tweet. https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/status/740973710593654784

That's not Destiny 2 for PC. ):<

At the same time, though, there's a strong trend of fighting over who is the Best Character in a given series. Or even across series.

I'm confused. U: Were you not asking if the snippet was accurate? I responded to what the snippet said, so if that's not what you were asking, I responded incorrectly! (snippet is a fun word)

I'd say it's correct in a general sense, but there are tons of examples where that's not the case. Also, becoming familiar with the language and tone of conversation in said language (i.e., Japanese) helps distinguish a lot between one actor and another, even if they're playing the same role. By that I mean, a given actor could give a lot more life to a given role than another might give to the same role. I can think of two recent examples off the top of my head that, although the character was maybe not unique in situation, they felt unique because the voice actors were so good at conveying a sense of personality. Also, while it's true that anime relies a lot on archetypes, I think it's bizarre to act like that's a unique thing to the medium? It's rare for me not to be able to identify some sort of archetype or trope associated with a character in anything, let alone just anime.

I get that that's the idea, but it seems to me the longer he sticks around, the more people get fed up with him - even people who would otherwise support him. I can't help but get the impression it's hurting just as much as it's helping. If not worse?

I don't like going to bars at all really. Hmm well that's not true. I like a quiet bar. The atmosphere is good. Even loud bars can have a good atmosphere, sometimes, but quiet ones reign supreme. Anyway what I'm getting at is that sometimes it just feels good to be around other people feeling good.

I don't understand it either. But hey! Let misery reign.
