Anthropomorphic characters! There we go. There's a webcomic. http://www.lackadaisycats.com/ It's a comic about the prohibition era, but with cat-people. It's a pretty serious tone, so they're just cat-people for the sake of being cat-people, kind of like BlackSad appears to be. Pretty great art. Hasn't been updating of late, which is a bit disappointing, but up until now I've liked it a lot.

Idle Thumbs 66: It's Broadcast Jones!

Well, that's not even remotely true. It's just that the author is usually a group of authors, and they all suck at authoring. -
RULE OF DIBS. airmech cargo: the quest for gravity trauma king's bounty: armored princess I forgot to add the disclaimer that sometimes people take these things without telling me when i post up the whole list of codes, so some might not work. ):

Hurray, progress! -
I second this recommendation. I read literally Way Too Many webcomics. I'll have to think about which ones I'd actually recommend, now that the floor is open for them. Except for this one I don't have to think about this one. http://www.buttercupfestival.com/ It is basically just surrealism in comic form. The artist also writes a lot of poetry, I guess, so that makes sense, somehow. Some of the comics are also just goofy little dialogues. The quiet kind of fun, rather than the wild 'n' crazy shit that is in most webcomics. It is my favorite webcomic by far. (Also, I prefer Series II to Series I.)

The Idle Thumbs Lords Management Consortium - Dota 2, LoL, other Lords Managers unite
Twig replied to Sean's topic in Multiplayer Networking
I just played the most catatonic game of Dota 2 of my LIFE. As Skeleton King. (No surprise there.) I basically just sat in lane, farming, and if anyone came to me, I killed them. Ended up with a Mjollnir pretty early on and went Abyssal Blade for shits. Highest kill count, but lowest total kill presence. Had the game gone on long enough, I would've quickly surpassed everyone, because I could solo two or three of the enemy. Four, probably. Was good times. They kept trying to stop me from free-farming, but it just didn't work. BECAUSE I AM THE KING OF SKELETONS. I also went full MANLY and never returned to the fountain. Although I did die twice. ): EDIT: So I went to check out my SK hero bar progression because he was once at the top by a significant margin. Then I stopped playing him, and other heroes surpassed him. Well, he's back at the top. EXCEPT. I played my fifth game of Alchemist today. He is now my highest. I am amused. -
I feel the same way about The Walking Dead TV show. But I like the comics and don't want (most of) them to die in the comics. U: The show is really just not good.

There are 18 unreleased heroes, currently. They're getting pretty close! http://www.dota2wiki.com/wiki/Unreleased_Content There's a good reference for what we KNOW is coming. Although KNOW is a strong word. Besides the heroes, of course. Everything else is just stuff that was found in the update files over time by the illustrious Cyborg Matt. -

I'm so bad at Kunkka, but it's hilarious because I'm so bad at Kunkka. And then... I'm so bad at Alchemist, but it's hilarious because Alchemist is bad. -
Idle Thumbs 66: It's Broadcast Jones!

You realize, of course, that HoN and Dota 2 are nearly identical, mechanically speaking? I'm not saying they're the same genre... I'm saying HoN literally copied well over 90% of its mechanics straight from DotA proper, but gave it a new skin. They did this intentionally and were completely upfront it. There are some mechanics tweaks hither and thither. The biggest difference between the two is HoN is horrifically ugly and Dota 2 has some eye-pleasing aesthetics. Also: My friend and I just spent two games being completely awful and trying utterly stupid things and we had a lot of fun. (This runs counter to my previous statement that Lords Management games are not fun, but that's because I was mistakenly forgetting that I don't always take the game seriously.) One could certainly argue that we were being assholes and probably even intentionally feeding, but, well, sometimes it's nice to relax, as you say. A game experience is as relaxed as you make it! We won one of the two games, too! -
Super Monday Night Combat: Third Person Lords Management
Twig replied to Rorschach's topic in Video Gaming
His phrasing is weird, but SMNC is a third-person shooter at its core. The camera is always centered on your Lord's rear-end (or slightly above). You can't move it elsewhere. Normal games in the genre, you can move the camera wherever you want, RTS-style, a fact of which you're obviously aware. Maybe, in that sense, because you can look at what other people are doing, it's second-person? (What.) I just realized I answered questions you didn't ask. Well, la dee da!- 13 replies

PS3 version, sure, maybe, I can see that, for all you console plebssssssssss. PS3 exclusive is stupid. But then all exclusives are stupid. PC or console or whatever. Unless it's directly tied to the hardware (ala games that require touch screens or the Wii remote or whatever), which Dust 514 is most certainly not. It's too bad it's apparently shit, according to this thread, because it's a really interesting concept, otherwise.

Hi okay I have one more video. U: We'd fallen victim to the Enigma's black hole like two or three times by this point, and I was fed up with it. EVEN MONKEYS CAN LEARN. So I learned and held back and then THRUST FORTH MY LORDLY SILENCE. It was wonderful. -

Twig replied to Sean's topic in Multiplayer Networking
Well, of course they will! Once they have the full game proper, they're going to update it, tweak it, etc., accordingly. They've also said that they have at least one alternate map in testing phases, but obvs that's not guarantee the map will ever see the light of day. They're going to implement the new heroes that came out in DotA 1 since Dota 2's release, eventually. I'm looking forward to that day, because as much as I love Dota 2, I'd like to see some more original ideas, especially in terms of map design. U: -

I just watched, and he only missed two ticks on the spin. 40 each, it looked like (I guess it ticks twice per second, and he had only one level in the skill). I had 67 health as he died. He would've had to hit both to kill me. But that's the whole point of not running in a straight line. Windrunner might've killed me after that though if he only hit me with one. Either way, I am the winner, because I am the better player. Stop being so bitter! EDIT: Probably missed three ticks. Four at most. Either way, hardly "a third/fourth" of the spin. Tsk tsk. -

Juggernaut did pretty much everything he could before I killed him. I have no idea what you mean by "the wrong way". He ran directly to me and did 90% of the damage to me. He even stopped my stun once with his ult (which ministuns on the first hit - something I didn't even know until that moment). I dodged Windrunner's powershot (as in, I knew it was coming and sidestepped it intentionally) before running down the river, and then went into the fog by the ward spot just before she tossed her shackle (you can see the animation start up and end). She wasn't able to use powershot again until the rest of my team showed up. I even just watched and counted up the nine seconds. Invoker should've killed me, but he's the only one who did anything truly wrong. EDIT: Ooooh, you edited your post because you realized how wrong and also dumb you are! Thank goodness! Sorry, I did good there. Aside from the Invoker, I completely outplayed them. :3 Well, technically I outplayed him, too, but that's because he was bad, rather than because I did something good. -

I mean, I do pick and choose. I have my bad games! Plus, as you can see, we were already winning, anyway. (Mostly because of me, but that's beside the point, right?)
