Well it's definitely not cheap to buy a house in SF. But what I really meant is that I don't want to stay in any one place long enough to even make owning a house a viable option. (Renting is a different matter, of course.) Even though I haven't done the interview, yet, I'm already really hoping this Dallas things turns out well, because I'm super excited at the prospect of living in a new place. It's only been a year in SF, but I've grown complacent and bored. And that's not even to say I feel like I've done everything I can or want to do in SF. Just that, although I like the people I know here quite a lot, and I even like the area I live quite a lot (though my new roommate is considerably less than ideal), I'm just kind of... bored. I get bored pretty easily. New places make me happy. Maybe that's unhealthy, but whatever.

They don't have to be. In fact, they could be both. In fact, the early Kirby games were much more difficult than the Kirby games that come out nowadays. (Well, but that's almost universally true for all series/franchises.) Anyway, I don't care what they're supposed to be. Kirby is a fun concept that is ruined for me by being so easy it's boring.

Definitely, except that I think the author mistakes interest in excellent atmosphere and game design for interest in story. Well, speaking personally, anyway.

I don't have much to add to the conversation, but I do want to say that I completely agree with Sno on the Zelda vs. Darksiders thing. I quite like Darksiders. And I do still like Zelda despite its baby-game-baby-oh-baby tendencies, but yeah. Yeah. I'd kill for a Zelda game that acknowledges that not all of its players are five years old. Dark Souls, while it might be a lot of what I want in a Zelda game, is thematically the OPPOSITE of what I want in a Zelda game. It's so.. dark. Darksiders was dark (ha-ha), but in a very dumb comic-booky kinda way. And now to sorta contradict myself (on liking Darksiders)... To be perfectly honest, I'm sick of grimdarkdarkgrim. It has its place, certainly, but it's such a tiresome tone that really brings me down. Zelda is very much like a fairy tale. It has some weird shit but is overall pretty happy in tone. I like happy. ): What were we talking about?

I know that feeling! I have a ton of games I know are great that I'd love to play, but just... not right now.

Hey I finished Electronic Super Joy! Dang that game is hard. I did it all though. I DID IT ALL. Super pumpin' soundtrack with sweet sick art and hard as balls platformin'? Yes, please.

I dunno. I've played that game a million times and never reached an unwinnable state. Granted, I may just know what I need to pick up and when I need to pick it up, but I'm pretty sure everything you need later in the game is accessible later in the game.

I've been playing Electronic Super Joy. It's one of those Fucking Hard platformers. It's fucking hard.
