  1. It's beginning to look a lot like...

I don't get to go home for Christmas so Wily is being a grumpy coward.
  2. Life

BLEH. That Dallas job. They never said no. So I kept waiting for a response, poking them every now and then. "We don't know, yet." Over two months of that. All right, fine. Eventually they tell me they might have an opportunity for me. So they call me two weeks later (after Thanksgiving break), and it's a mini-interview for a position I never applied for. All right, fine. They don't usually hire for specific roles, it's mostly general, but this time they are because of a specific contract. All right, fine. Except it's a position I don't feel qualified for. I don't care, I can learn fast, so I'm okay with that. All right, fine. Now I'm waiting to hear back from them again. I really want that job. Even if I have to do this thing I wasn't expecting to do, I'm hoping I'll eventually be allowed to branch out. In other news, the interview I had today seemed to go well. But I've said that a thousand fucking times so who knows.
  3. Remedy's 'Quantum Break'

I'm excited because I love both Max Payne and Alan Wake and thus I love Remedy. Nothing deep here. Going on pure faith. They can and will deliver because that's what they do.
  4. Life

I'm basically right there with you. Maybe a little more luck with finding potential opportunities, but they never pan out. Got an interview tomorrow... Bleh.
  5. Broken Age - Double Fine Adventure!

I very much like everything I've heard and seen about this game so far. Well, except the part about it taking longer to make, but hey whatever. This cast is great and sounds great and awesome yay.
  6. Stick it to the man

It is already on Vita, too.
  7. No Man's Sky

The way I understand it so far is that the game is procedurally generated, but not necessarily infinite. And it's all generated PRIOR to game release. As in, the procedural generation is part of the development phase, and not part of the play phase. I'm sort of just assuming things here, though.
  8. Feminism

I don't think it was that, either. I think it was the whole model, as in body and clothing together. So, the clothing had the cloth physics, and the boobs sort of followed around. So basically they wanted to show off their sweet, sweet cloth physics, I guess, and didn't give a damn about the boobs? EDIT: What Jason said. I guess I should read that article, huh.
  9. No Man's Sky

    HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH
  10. Feminism

Geez I wasn't giving an excuse or anything. Just sort of explaining how I figured it happened.
  11. Feminism

I'm pretty sure it wasn't an animator who decided the boobs should move like that. Looks basically like simple physics simulation to me. Similar to cloth physics. So I'm guessing they were just too lazy to make the flesh move with the same fidelity/detail as it does when you're chopping someone's head off in that game.
  12. No Man's Sky

Meeeee too Rodi. If the game delivers on nothing more than letting me explore planets like that, it'll be more than enough for me. Only thing I'm really concerned about on that front is the procedural generation of the wildlife (assuming there is some (I sure hope there is!)). Also also one of my favorite details in that video is how the ships warp in at ~1:15. SO GOOD. Oh also here's a youtube version because Gametrailers is utter garbage.
  13. Remedy's 'Quantum Break'

Remedy is not first-party. Alan Wake was published my Microsoft, but that's about it.
  14. Gone Home from The Fullbright Company

No love for Nick? (Congrats Nick.)
  15. No Man's Sky

Pretentious is such a stupid fucking word. All it really means is "this game tries to do something I personally don't give a fuck about." Never use it again.
  16. Remedy's 'Quantum Break'

I'm very excited for this game. I hope it actually comes to PC. I don't want to buy an Xbone for one game.
  17. anime

Yeah basically I guess what I'm getting at is that I think they really were trying to do something with it but didn't succeed.
  18. anime

I feel like those two lines are at odds. If it was playing it straight, it'd just be like Sailor Moon, right? Still naked chicks gettin' covered by magic clothes or whatever. But that whole tightening bit intentionally goes completely bonkers with it, beyond what's normal even for the magical girl transformations. At least in my opinion. It still makes me uncomfortable, but I really do think that was their goal. On the other hand I never stop laughing every time the dudes do weird sexy shit so hurray for double standards.
  19. No Man's Sky

yes i am hype incarnate hear me roar
  20. Yeah that's just not a thing for me. I don't believe that should ever be a concern. Hence "But hey that's just me and everyone's different."
  21. GOTY.cx 2013

I watched because it was a hilarious trainwreck. I very much enjoyed it. Especially Joel McHale's constant snide remarks. (And also I got to see the reveal for No Man's Sky, which is pretty much now my most anticipated Big Game Developed By Small Studio.) Then again, nothing will ever beat the legendary Konami press conference at E3 some years ago. That shit was amazing.
  22. If a spoiler can really ruin my enjoyment of a piece of entertainment, I feel like it's not a very good piece of entertainment to begin with. But hey that's just me and everyone's different. Just kidding I'm always right, you're all crazy.
  23. GOTY.cx 2013

I honestly didn't notice any. Although I was only half paying attention. But, still, even only half non-offensive is better than some past examples. Oh, one of my favorite parts was the inexplicable shitty-steampunk aesthetic they chose for the stage.
  24. GOTY.cx 2013

Joel McHale was by far the best part of this entire thing. Well, the reveal of No Man's Sky is giving him a run for his money, but that's the only other thing. But yeah you can tell he doesn't want to be there. Why does he take the job if he doesn't want to do it, though? Man.
  25. GOTY.cx 2013

Well that's very sad for you. In fact, I think Borderlands might even work BETTER as an adventure game than it does as a shooter.
