I find Space Dandy decidedly really fucking boring and that's the saddest thing I think I've said about anime in a long time. I was really looking forward to it, but it's just a dumb guy running around looking at tits and ass and eating food. OH YEAH SO GREAT. I'm also sold! Also I recently ordered and received and read SEVEN BOOKS of comics. Skullkickers Volume 2 (so great!), The Walking Dead Book 9 (always something I enjoy!), Fables Book 6 (why was it so short this time ;_; ), Chew Volume 1 and 2 (what a stupid idea for a comic, and that's why I like it), and Y: The Last Man Volume 4 and 5 (nice to finally finish it! some things I didn't like about the ending, but it's all good). Yay Christmas gift cards!

I was aware of the name change but I didn't realize it was a pun until it was pointed out and now I feel ashamed. Also I may be weird but I'm more excited and interested in this game than I ever was in XCOM. Also I've owned XCOM since Bioshock Infinite came out (when I got it as a preorder bonus) and still haven't played it. So that says a lot about me I guess. To sum: I want this game.

Just because they're the ones designing it doesn't mean they perfectly understand all the implications and relations of and between the different pieces of the controller.And I'm willing to bet valve, of all developers, would completely agree with me here. They don't value he touch screen as an element of the controller. Fine. But there's literally no way even they could actually believe that taking one piece and mashing bits of it on top of another piece results in the same functionality.

Etrian Odyssey is the best DS franchise and without the second screen it would not be the best DS franchise. Well Valve is wrong to do so!

Except for the part where the DS is great, you're exactly right! Protip: don't try to move your eyes independently of each other. Move both at the same time. It makes it easier to look at the second screen. Oh. That's not even remotely the same thing as having a dedicated space for a separate set of functionality. Any "button" the touch pads incorporate will be intrinsically linked to the touch pads themselves. Either as emulating more buttons, or as mouse clicks, or whatever. I'm not sure why you're comparing them to the touch screen, which was always a separate thing.

Right! If I want a normal controller, I'll use my 360 controller. Or, I dunno, does the Xbone work natively in Windows yet? Does it have a better d-pad? Maybe I'll even get a PS4 controller. That's USB now, right? Either way... Reasons I'm excited for/interested in Steam controller have nothing to do with wanting a new traditional controller. Not that I don't understand why. Just... meh. BOOOORING.

There is, but they've said it wasn't used enough in playtesting, so they decided to remove it entirely. Reason I was excited about it: potential for user created controls. So I could theoretically put my own custom information and utility on there (screenshot button? music player? WHO KNOWS!). Or even just displaying pertinent information as I see fit. Assuming develpoers never used it, that alone would've been enough for me, personally. Alas.
