Sometimes I find myself in the trap of getting caught up in the moment and fountain camping and then I feel fucking terrible because I hate being that guy and I switch immediately to killing the ancient. Sometimes while some of my teammates yell at me for not fountain camping. And then I feel good.

I've never seen any of the movies. That was part of the plan with my friend and I's Great Rewatch of Dragonball (which included DB, DBZ Kai, DBGT, and all of the movies, in semi-appropriate order), but, as I already said, we never got that far. Stopped early in the Cell saga. Even Kai doesn't manage to save the show from its greatest weakness - everything taking so goddamn long.

I mean I loved DBZ when I was a kid so obviously I don't actually want it not to have existed. But it's vastly inferior in my mind. I already went over a lot of this at one point in the anime thread because I tasked myself with watching the entire franchise with a friend. We sort of stopped at the beginning of the Cell saga because it was so boring.

I ordered pizza. I hate ordering pizza from this place. They always take over an hour to deliver. But it's also the only pizza place I like around here. BLEH. In other news: I got an email this morning telling me they were going to offer me a job. The job I want. The job in Dallas. The job with the only company I've interviewed with so far that I actually like. I IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED WITH A "YEAH I'M INTERESTED HERE'S MY NUMBER AGAIN IN CASE YOU DON'T HAVE IT" AND GOT NO RESPONSE THE REST OF THE DAY SO I'VE SPENT ALL DAY FREAKING OUT GOING FROM EXCITED TO WORRIED THAT IT'S ALL A MISTAKE ON THEIR END AND this is why i can't be happy Also intermittently sad that I'll be leaving San Francisco because deep down I was sort of hoping to get an offer here first so that I'd have an excuse to stay and find a new apartment and oh boy I'll be leaving all of my friends behind for the third time in my life. Toriyama also thinks DBZ should have ended after the Cell saga. As I recall. I think DBZ should've ended before it began, and DB should've ended before Goku got tall.

I have similar feelings! Each episode makes me feel like a horrible person for not being self-motivated enough to actually make games even though I know I have the ability to do so! But that's something I feel all the time. Nah, I'm kidding. I'm making something RIGHT THIS MOMENT. This is a great podcast. Thanks for making a great podcast! Also as a huge fan of Blendo Games' games, thanks Brendon for making sweet games! I've always loved the whole connected story in your stuff, and that's something I've always hoped to do myself some day. Rad. Thumbs up.

Yeah Watanabe's name is what got me so excited. That and POMPADOURS cause man if there's one thing I love in this life it's fuckin' pompadours. And the opening song is rad. Anyway, yeah, I suppose Muugan is similar in character. Been a long time since I watched that one, so I'm not too sure. But, as you say, having three very different characters helped a lot. Plus I think it was a lot more... reserved in its Typical Anime Bullshit characteristics. Space Dandy, on the other hand... The titular characters's life goal is to visit every single restaurant in a chain of restaurants called Boobies. Which is basically Space Hooters, if the name didn't give it away. The first episode introduced Space Dandy and his cute robot, and then Space Dandy's little animal-cat-person-alien companion, what's-his-face. They are both perverts, although the alien less so because he only sneaks pictures of them on his phone instead of straight up saying "some people love boobs, but I'm all about the ass". The second episode introduced a bad-ass lady who beat up a bunch of dudes that are after Space Dandy said dudes knocked some food on the ground. Wasting food makes her mad. Maybe she'll be Space Dandy's third companion. She was pretty cool. But I'm not hopeful. There is an underlying thing that may open the series up to something good, but I don't think it'll ever justify the Typical Anime Bullshit like Kill la Kill managed to do. Then again, Kill la Kill is some pretty fuckin' high standards at this point, so maybe I'm expecting too much.
