I have, up until recently, refused to solo queue because I had some really poor first experiences. But I've played four games in the past week or so all by myself and all of them have been really great, even though one of them was a complete stomp and we lost horribly. I attribute this to my openly communicating from start to finish and complimenting people when they play well and not saying anything when they make mistakes and acknowledging my own mistakes all over the microphone. Ironically, I've had much better solo queuing experiences lately than I have had with groups. Very strange! Even the OTHER team has been nice, though, and they can't hear me talk, so maybe I've just been super lucky. Then again, part of that might be that one of the guys I play with relatively frequently is completely terrible at the game and I pretty much expect to lose if he's on my team, and I definitely expect whatever lane he's in to lose. And I hate not inviting him because then I feel bad for being a dang jerk and we're all always in Mumble together soooooo hurray.

I'm with you on this one. That concept sounds fucking great. I love the idea. Please to be making, Double Fine. Thank you. I voted for that and Steed (because HORSE) and Mega Rad Karate Troopers because an XCOM style Power Rangers game sounds rad to me. I don't really expect the last one to win, but nothing else really appealed to me this time around. U: Maybe the gnome thing, but not as much. I wish I could just throw two more votes out anyway, just in case. Gnomes and Ghost Dog (just because he cites Earthbound as an inspiration (although who DOESN'T these days)). Oh and I didn't really like any of the Pendleton prototype ideas. ): I ended up going with Little Pink Best Buds because it has the most potential to make me like it, but also as someone else here mentioned it also seems the least likely to shine as a prototype. Who knows.

I've said this before, but with no real weight behind it because it really just comes down to preference, but I find Unity to be way easier to grasp and do things in than Game Maker. I don't know if it's because I come from a background of already knowing how to program, so that's just how I think, or what. Unity 4 Lyfe.

Hah! Same thought I had last night before deciding not to be the first person to respond to this thread. I have a hard time believing Idle Thumbs ever implied Heroes of the Storm ripped off of Dota 2 out of any real sense of malice or deep knowledge of the game, and I have an even harder time trying to understand what the point of this thread is other than to set off some huge debate for the ages that only like two people actually care about.

I got one of those Jadehoofs. X: I totally exploited it. My friends and I just bought the items and talked for a while. We totally half-assed it. Our fifth was a sniper with no ingots/gold, and that's the one we got the best score in. Don't judge me, okay. No, stop judging me! ): Also, for what it's worth, the courier will probably be worth like five bucks at most. 1% of the playerbase is actually a lot of couriers, and it's going to happen, who knows, like seven more times? Also, I'm pretty sure they rewarded the top 1% multiple times yesterday, because they patched a Super Strat twice, and that's how they've handled such things in the past (i.e., Diretide). The first was the Ursa/Skeleton King combo, and the second was Visage's birds. Honestly I really only know this stuff because I have a friend who's super into theorycrafting and I was just along for the ride. We got a lot of free mythicals, too, from the Bloom Bounty. Okay, but now for my actual thoughts on the event: NOT A FAN. I like the idea of it, right, but in the end it really is just a bunch of theorycrafting, like you guys mentioned. I've got nothing against theorycrafting, but I don't want to do it. I just want a fun mode that I can do for fun. I really enjoyed Wraith Night, even if it did get repetitive. I wish they'd put the same amount of effort into balancing the heroes in New Bloom as they did in Wraith Night. ... You guys didn't talk about ABILITY DRAFT!

I wouldn't count out LoL on the evil front. They very much inhibit your ability to enjoy the full game unless you're willing to just straight up buy some dudes. The amount of times, when I still played the game, that I was unable to play a dude I really liked or thought looked super cool because I didn't play a thousand games a day to unlock all dudes with IP as they came out, well, in a lot of ways it ruined that game for me. LoL is very much on the exploitative side of the scale simply because it has these arbitrary limiting walls that prevent the player from playing exactly what they want to play at all times.

It doesn't matter if Mirror's Edge enemies are bullet sponges because you shouldn't be using guns anyway!

I actually didn't read it that way as all. Dandy was just being himself, probably not really actually entirely serious with his remark, and the girl just looks up to Dandy and wants to join him because he helped her out so much.

That's not true at all. And even if it was, the "eye candy" here is extremely gratuitous at times. It only JUST falls short of actually showing you naked women. One step further and that's what we'd have. It doesn't matter if Dandy's a pervert or if we're supposed to look down at him for it when the show treats every viewer as if they're just as perverted as Dandy himself.

I share many of your thoughts and concerns, but given the series so far, and how many times the show's spat on my face for feeling a sense of dread about this or that trope, I feel like I can be confident that what happened here was not without a greater purpose. Maybe I'll get spat on for believing in Trigger, this time, but I prefer to remain optimistic for now!

You realize that was never the problem, right? It's not about whether or not Dandy is a pervert. It's about the overt and constant fanservice. It doesn't matter if Dandy never gets the girl if the audience always does, in close and incredibly detailed form. Check out the curves on that ass, etc.

On the surface it's really fucking awkward, and I definitely wouldn't want someone just walking in on me watching that - HOLY WOULD THAT BE AWKWARD - but within the context of the show, I just... I sort of liked it. It felt right because it was so awkward. I don't know. U: Gormongous: I've noticed the same thing, but I guess I have the complete opposite reaction? Heh. The convenience of always just being powerful enough without bothering to explain just how powerful she is makes it all the more appealing to me precisely because I've seen so much shounen stuff/crap. Speaking of shounen, I'm... really enjoying Hunter x Hunter. I'm sort of ashamed to say that. But not really because fuck all y'alls.
