They've said there are "more surprises" in context of the hardware specifically (at least that's how it read to me, but it could be a translation thing, as it was directed at investors). So I'm interested to hear what those are... I mean I'm 100% going to get one of these things at launch because I am a Capitalist Pig, but I'm still excited to hear more. Especially about any exclusive games! That Mario, mmmmm.

Yeah I was going a bit crazy listening to all that talk about Nintendo possibly not supporting local wireless multiplayer... Even the original Game Boy had the link cable, and ever handheld since has supported multiplayer!

It's lookin' nice! Everything's all big and bubbly. ...How do I get back my beloved "New Posts" view, though? D: I know there's an "unread content" button where that used to be, but it presents full posts instead of just the topic names (which I can then click to get to first unread post). EDIT: Oh I found it. On that unread content page, there's an option for "condensed" view. Perfect! (It annoys me ever-so-slightly that pressing enter does Two new lines, instead of just the one line, like it used to. I can press shift+enter to get the old behavior, but if there's a preference somewhere to change that, I'd be happy. Mostly just because it's so ingrained into me to double-tap the enter key!)

Around the time of the review system change someone compiled a list of games most affected by the change. It might've been steam db or similar, I can't remember. At any rate, very few Games Of Note (I.e., games I'd even just heard of the title, so v biased for sure), more actually had positive changes than negative. There were a few that WERE really poorly affected (Sunset being the worst iirc). But overall, the list wasn't that big. It had some threshold for noteworthiness, but I forget what that was too! Then they added all those reviews back but now let you choose which ones are visible to you. So hey, there's that, I guess. -
Alan Wake is one of my absolute favorite games from around that time and I'll fight anyone who trashes on it!!!!!!!!!!!! American Nightmare is kind of incredible but also fucking weird.

Physical games are something I don't really do singleplayer. not because I think they're objectively bad - I just don't want to put together the time of setting up a game just to play by myself. I love board gaming, but only really in a social setting. I tried out Talisman last night, there's a Steam version of it. There's also a "prologue" which is a singleplayer version. Seemed all right enough, although kinda visually meh. But hey I'll get a few hours out of it maybe.

okay why does the norwegian word for "red" (and other words, but this is the first one i noticed) have different endings depending on its usage as a oh it's because it's got different endings depending on its usage as a noun or adjective or whatever?? also i have not seen on the website where the grammatical rules are explained, even though people keep saying that. i've used the website way more often than the mobile app
