  1. Also I'd dig a playable Radman, but if I have to play one of those stupid fucking Rabbids or if I even have to SEE one of those stupid fucking Rabbids in Smash I will boycott the game. REAL TALK.
  2. At this point I feel obligated to just continue my meaningless analysis of the Number of Smash Characters. I'll just assume for generosity's sake from this point on that Brawl has 39 unique characters. I'll also assume for pessimism's sake that Sakurai didn't go back on his word that there'd be fewer characters in Smash 4 than there were in Brawl. I'll also assume for more pessimism's sake that Game & Watch definitely WILL NOT be in the game, because Captain Falcon got a tile on the Smash Bros website (yessssssssssssssssssssss). Poor G&W. ): Last time we were at 32. Seven short of the 39 unique characters (including Zelda/Shiek, Samus/Zero Suit Samus, and the three Pokémon Trainer pokeymans). Now we've got THREE MORE. That's 35 out of 38 possible if Sakurai's word still holds true. We still don't have Ice Climbers, Ganondorf, Jigglypuff, or Wario. (Or Metaknight.) (((...or G&W ;_; ))) WHO'S GETTIN' DROPPED?! UH OHH OHOHHHHHHHHH. Sakurai also said they're "nearing the bottom of the stash of new challenger videos that [they've] made", so there's not going to be many more revelations. There will probably still be some secrets unrevealed until unlocked. I hope. Like JIGGLYPUFF. ):<
  3. Divinity: Original Sin

I've sunk nearly 60 hours into this game... I don't know what's happened to me. It's incredible. I don't play games like this anymore. This is the power of being unemployed I guess. Also it's really good. I love the combat. Pew pew poison plus fire BOOM. The combat is really fun. Love the interactions of all the magic types. Also I just got a summon spell to create a walking bomb. It's rad. I think I'm almost done with the game.
  4. anime

Okay so I guess I wasn't very clear. I'm not interested enough. Streaming is super convenient, and unless I'm super into something, I'm not going to bother. I don't need a website recommendation. It's not hard to find things.
  5. Feminism

I wonder if there's like a database of links full of information to counter links that people use incorrectly. Like if someone linked me that "harvard study" article, I could just counter with a link to Bjorn's post there, which lists a few facts in easy to understand format. If there isn't such a database there should be. I started reading Argobot's link and I don't even think I can finish it because I am fucking disgusted. I know this isn't an uncommon thing, either. Just... fuck.

Pro gamers REPRESENT. The rest of y'all SUCK AT VIDEO GAMES.
  7. The Wolf Among Us

He did run away from the farm. He continues to do so. Bigby's particularly lenient on him because of the history they have, I think. Also it feels like in this game they aren't quite as strict about it as in the comics, or are building toward being super strict about it.
  8. The Wolf Among Us

I'm undeniably biased, having read the comics and seen the farm, but I felt that Colin the pig in particular did a good job of expressing the loss of freedom he feared from being locked away on the farm. It's not all in all a bad place, but it is a virtual prison. Fables who can't afford the glamours to disguise themselves as human have no choice but to stay at the farm. It sucks. Not to emtnion the Fables who get sent there for breaking the rules, and for them it becomes literally a prison.
  9. DOTA 2

Have you ever seen him stream? I have. That aside, and being realer than real... https://twitter.com/DOTA2/status/488374903171596289/photo/1 Poor guys. )':

Yeah I think the Tree Top was completely optional, and it's also what I was thinking you were referring to with the SMB comparison! That was the hardest part of the game, though, for sure. Well, I actually think I had more trouble with the combat trial towers, but that's possibly way EASIER in co-op, and also combat is never my strong suit in any game, heh.
  11. DOTA 2

I'm not going to watch a 20 minute video so you're going to have to sum it up if you want to make a point at me!
  12. anime

And a new episode of Haikyu!! is all that I needed. This series is... my favorite sports anime. (With the caveat that I have not yet seen Ping Pong, obviously.) SO GOOD.
  13. anime

I will, but I'm not in any rush. Also it's not really comparable to what a typical sports anime is like, so you know, it doesn't solve any problems. It's its own thing. I haven't actually downloaded any anime since I subscribed to Crunchyroll, except the first few episodes of Space Dandy, which I eventually gave up on because I wasn't interested enough to keep hunting down torrents.
  14. Dreams!

If I had to eat nothing but spiders I would rather die, I think. I had a dream last night that Terry Pratchett said some incredibly sexist things and refused to apologize and it ruined me. It was weird. I don't normally have dreams that are negative in a realistic way. (Not that Pratchett being an unrepentant sexist is realistic, but more that it's something that could possibly happen with someone I admire.)

I felt the Guacamelee platforming was pretty easy unless you went for all the optional side stuff, but... I'm good at platformers, so my judgment may be skewed. I didn't find the optional stuff all that difficult, either. I'm the worst. I definitely wouldn't compare it to Super Meat Boy! Inspired by, I can see, but in terms of actual difficulty, I don't know.
  16. DOTA 2

hahah ugh best na i guess but that's not saying much ixmike88 was the only Cool Dude ever on Liquid, and he left. Which, he wasn't a fantastic player, so that's fair. But he has that stache, so they really lost like ALL THEIR CHARM once that happened. Yeah I noticed that too. EE is probably even worse than Demon in that regard. Or was? I dunno I don't watch either of them stream regularly because I think they're repulsive human beings.
  17. DOTA 2

I HATE THEM THAT'S WHAT'S BAD ABOUT THEM. Up until, well, this, they've largely been irrelevant. It wasn't until they got Demon that they stopped being complete shit. And I hate Demon as a person, so it's all terrible. They're only relevant because they have a terrible human being who happens to be good at Dota on their team. Ugh. Worst. Ugh. At least Bulba's now stuck on support where he should be. The only hero he's good at is Clockwerk, and that's not enough when Clockwerk doesn't fit the team. Also they had a sweet 8-slotted Tinker against NewBee which I gotta respect. Ugh NewBee played terribly that game, they should've won easily FUCK LIQUID. DISBAND LIQUID. DISBAND. Well but actually it's just that I have an undeclared contest with a friend of mine to see who can hate Liquid more. The distaste comes from a real place, but I project it in a much more extreme manner than I actually feel.
  18. DOTA 2

Liquid is not great at anything ugh I hope they disband before TI4 is over.
  19. anime

Pretty much every genre of anime suffers from that dumb telepathic nonsense, but yeah Kuroko is especially bad about it. Oh. I have nothing against romance stories but that's not what I was hoping it was. ): Abs was more for the laughs than anything else, and I'm pretty sure it's true that cardiovascular exercise benefits from larger lung capacity. It may be exaggerated in Yowapeda, but it's way more grounded in reality than The Zone in Kuroko.
  20. anime

Maybe I'll hunt down the manga instead, then. I've been slowly watching Kuroko's Basketball. I just finished watching the first game of the Winter Cup. It's fucking intense and even the typical sports anime training camps last only about an episode at most THERE'S NO COOLDOWN PERIOD BETWEEN GAMES it's too much for my weak heart to handle. I need a nice lighthearted anime to cool off with. I'm looking with bright eyes in the direction of Glasslip... because it's an anime about fucking glassblowing and that's awesome. But I dunno how lighthearted it'll be. I will probably start it soon enough. Side complaint: As much as I love sports anime for what they are, one thing I absolutely can't get over is the tendency to give an almost supernatural edge to prodigies in the sports (HOW IS HE DOING THAT OH MY GOOOOOD), along with ridiculous names like "Ignite Pass" and then upgrading it to "Ignite Pass Kai" I mean c'mon. Yowapeda's actually really good about this, and so far so is Haikyu!!, which I very much appreciate.
  21. DOTA 2

I look forward to the day Liquid is no more. UGH. How dare they actually win games.
  22. Aren't they both owned by the same company now? Well I looked it up before posting. Dead Island 1 was published by Deep Silver, I think (and also owned). Developed by Techland, who is now developing Dying Light, which is a serious take on the first-person zombie brawler, but with parkour. Dead Island 2 is developed by someone else, but still published by Deep Silver. But Yager Development is not owned by Deep Silver like Volition is. SO I GUESS IN SOME WAY IT ALL MAKES SOME SENSE? Also: no bikini-clad dismembered and beheaded torso this time? How strange!
  23. anime

I remember reading the first volume of Claymore manga a long time ago. I probably still have it in a box somewhere. I don't know why I didn't continue. Is it... finished? Also is it worth watching? I mean, I know forgetting that it existed isn't a good sell, but I'm still curious.
