  1. Why do you ignore when people offer actual real evidence of Trump doing bad things?
  2. Currently making the rounds is this: http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=1323269 (via: http://www.gameblog.fr/news/64355-seasons-of-heaven-exclusif-nintendo-switch-premieres-photos-) Post-climate-change-apocalypse, starring a small child boy with Asperger's and his telepathic French bulldog, based on a novel by the same name: Seasons of Heaven. Looks pretty! Who knows if it's real! Seems plausible enough to me, barring the pre-January reveal, but since Switch was on Fallon last night, maybe that was an NDA date for some people making games. Anyway Laura Dale also mentioned it, and as we all know she's the most trustworthy (???).
  3. Wizard Jam 4 Feedback

Well if the fear is that I'm going to out-quality other games, hahahahahahahahaha.
  4. Wizard Jam 4 Feedback

I know I joke a lot about how I'm worthless trash in Slack and that's why I never jam etc, so I'm going to share my relatively serious thought process behind delaying my own personal wizjamgam. The reason I'm doing it post-jam is because I was busy as fuck for one and a half weeks during the jam and literally did not have the mental energy to even put serious thought into it beyond one funny idea (which I ended up not doing). Props to everyone who managed, but I'm not that strong of mind. Then I had an idea I liked and started it, but was still exhausted from work. Ultimately, I would probably finish this weekend, and then have spent less time than I would have liked on the thing (and certainly less than the allotted two weeks). The only reason I allowed myself this extra time is because I was under the impression that WizJam is super chill and not strict about things. If the time limit is one of the few strict elements of the jam, then that's fine, I'll just let it go. It's not a huge deal to me. (I still want to finish the thing, but if necessary I'll just remove it from the official jam thing on itch.io!)
  5. Nintendo 3DS

Well it's not about not finding people with a 3ds - I know for a fact I work in an office with at least five others every single day, and used to get those street passes every day if I cleared them out - it's some change that makes street passes just not work anymore.
  6. Nintendo 3DS

MAN ME TOO! I figured my 3DS was just locally broken, but I work at a goddamn game developer and bring my 3DS every day and I don't get streetpasses anymore! Like maybe one a week, and that's it! I don't know why. It really sucks, 'cause I was enjoying the new games I'd purchased for like two batches of ten and then bam. ):
  7. Laura Dale is the source people trust, not the website. It just happens to be where she rights. As I understand it, she's on the same tier as Emily Rogers, as far as trustworthiness goes. Whatever that means!
  8. Wizard Jam 4 Feedback

as long as you let me have another week to finish my game i think it's great
  9. at first i didn't realize which thread i was in and thought you were responding to my rambly nonsense about what "senpai" means that's me right now!!
  10. Internet Discourse 102: Ignore anyone who has valid arguments against your own to win.
  11. (Strictly speaking, senpai just means "senior to me", like... upperclassmen have more experience, and that's what makes them a lowerclassman's senpai. Most often seen in context of school, as in that example, but also exists in professional fields. And the senpai need not be the "older" person. Just someone who's worked there longer than you. That said, I almost never see it used to address someone younger, except as a joke. Probably because it just feels weird. Also, until recently, people so rarely left their jobs, that just in Japanese society it was (and probably still is) super rare for an older person to join a brand new company.) (Please don't read this post. I'm such a sad weeb.)
  12. I only used co-op once in DS1 and that was for Artorias (I guess I had a mental block on him 'cause that guy is EASY to me now, one of the easiest (and coolest)), but even so I thought it was fun. This badass ninja lady just rolled in and destroyed that guy and she occasionally backed up to try to let me have a go, which I thought was nice, but I still kept fucking it up, so she had to jump back in while I ran and stayed healed. It was a good time. In Bloodborne I did a lot more co-op, but only after beating the bosses on my own. It was also a lot of fun! This time I got to be the badass ninja lady! ...With a gun, tho. Anyway I agree with Gorm that co-op can be fun and also disagree with the idea that the difficulty is "definitely the least interesting aspect of the series" so very strongly I want to look at you menacingly.
  13. Full Throttle Remastered

    Speechless with adoration?
  14. Internet Discourse 101: Accuse everyone else of being unreasonable to win.
  15. I think Uncharted 4 is fucking incredible, and in general the games get better with each one, but they all have a lot of shooting.
  16. Thumbs emoji? That'd be BigJKO! https://twitter.com/jonkristinsson PS, that gif, those eye movements PPS, I'm sure someone with more recent and thorough experience with Unity than me can answer your questions
  17. Also, the idea that "he's not really a politician" scares the hell out of a lot of people because that just means he's likely to hand the reigns off to Pence (who is a fucking terrifying individual for a lot of people) and let the Republican majority House and Congress do whatever the fuck they want. Not to mention whoever he appoints to SCOTUS.
  18. If you legitimately believe that voting for a man who actively and willingly attracted the support of literal Nazis doesn't mean you are complicit in that kind of behavior, then, I dunno my dude, that seems ridiculous to me. It's true that there are a lot of ignorant people who fell for his rhetoric and didn't or don't realize what was actually happening. You don't seem like one of those people. That's scary. You say Hillary has done gross stuff, and that's true, but she doesn't represent and welcome the worst portions of this country in an open and gleeful manner. If she got into office and then started appointing white supremacists, I would feel betrayed, not guilty. Thus far with Trump, we've gotten exactly what was advertised. This is who he is. You no longer have the freedom to say "well he's probably not as bad as you think we'll just have to wait and see". We are already seeing it. Welcome to hell. Also, in particular, this is just not true: "By this logic everyone who votes for anyone would be complicit in all of the candidates past behaviors." You'll notice I never once mentioned Trump's past actions. I only mentioned his behavior during (and since) the election cycle. This is important, because you seem to believe I'm talking about everything he's ever done. Everything I mentioned is stuff that is happening now. Hell, I didn't even mention the many rape accusations levied at him, as much as I think that does make him a despicable human being. That's stuff from his past. He doesn't have a past as a politician. THIS is his political career. One that embraces disgusting behaviors just because it benefits him. One that thinks nuking Syria is a real option. And you voted for him. Why?
  19. Trump is a product of wall street. He has more reason to protect it than anyone else. I'm not sure I agree with your tactic of ignoring anything bad anyone says about Trump and focusing on only shit-talking Clinton. Makes you seem... disengenuous. PS, once again, Clinton is not a progressive, nor does she pretend to be.
  20. Hahaha nah I feel you. Conceptually there's a lot I like about visual novels, but I'm real put off by just READING a GAME nonstop and then making minor choices that lead to MORE READING. And I love reading! D: FWIW, I think a lot of more recent western indie visual novels are shorter, as in 5 hours or less.
  21. Visual novels tend to be fairly long. 10 sounds short! Haha. Disclaimer: I'm mostly talking Japanese visual novels. Most of the Phoenix Wright games are 15-20! Clannad is 70 according to HowLongToBeat??? Holy fuck. Steins;gate pretty long, too...
  22. oh by the way let's pretend trump has done literally nothing else to make people upset up to this point Denying citizens freedom of speech! Off to a good start. Wonder what's next? Internment camps for Muslims sounds like a good idea!
  23. ...what I'm repeating myself again, but you keep ignoring this, so I guess it's important: liberals and progressives are not the same thing. If you're going to throw around labels, you have to understand what they mean, and be consistent in how you use them. You've demonstrated both a lack of understanding and consistency.
  24. It is not your perspective that is unwelcome. It is your tone. You implicitly* accuse people here of being irrational for identifying Trump as a failure for already doing things that are, in fact, objectively bad. You make some salient points that many here would agree with. Here's a good example: "The US political system has been entirely usurped by capital." Yes, absolutely! It's a huge problem! One many progressives (the same group you mistakenly derided in your initial post) are constantly fighting to solve, in more ways than one. But you can't then ignore when people point out that Trump is very much a part of that problem. Indeed, he has benefited from it in a way that very few have, and abused the systems put in place by the politicians you seem to hate to take advantage of the very same group of people who he's fooled into believing he's going to make things better. Trump ain't our savior. He's a bad businessman who continues to appear successful at the expense of the everyman. *To be honest, I read this as an explicit accusation, but I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. Maybe you don't mean to call everyone here who thinks Trump a failure "irrational". But accusations of irrationality are a very common avenue of attack from those on "the right" who believe emotions have poisoned the rhetoric of "the left". So, maybe choose your words more carefully if that is not your intent.
