Well all right then. (I'd probably vape in this hypothetical world where it's legal for me to get weed where I currently live (haha I imagine Texas is going to be pretty near the end of the list of states that legalize weed, although I guess I've not done much research on it).)
-
Huh. That is pretty weird, isn't it.
-
Would you be willing to partake in edibles, if weed were to become that widespread and completely legalized? (My guess is no, since you specifically mention taste, and an edible is likely to alter your mood far more than a single drink would, at least as I understand it.) Personally, I'd be all about partaking were it legal, but the illegality of it is enough of a blocker that I basically don't even consider it. I mean, even in California where it's super easy to get the medical license, I never bothered just because it was a hassle to go there and lie to the doctor who obviously didn't give a shit anyway.

The video is all just concept, pretty sure. At the very least, the video is usually filmed from a third-person perspective of the people using the thing, so you can definitely be sure it's not real there, even if they do have a working prototype of some of those things. Much of it is pretty reasonable, though, in my opinion. Dunno if it'll look that good, but that's a different topic from just is it doable.

Good timing 'cause I've been watching this anime which is about a bunch of kids about ten years into the mass adoption of AR glasses where there's an entire cyberworld overlay on top of the real world and BASICALLY WHAT I'M SAYING IS if the future of AR is anything like this, I'm sold.

Agreed that'd be a really cool thing to have! I'm a programmer I guess I'll do it ehehehe.

Man I love Psych and that episode in particular I managed to catch not long after I watched Twin Peaks for the first time. It was incredible.

Haha, thanks. I've been feeling especially down lately, and that actually made me feel a little better! Neat! SBM: The way you describe it sounds fun, but I think my crippling social anxiety gets in the way more than anything else of me having fun with any kind of social endeavor... Even something that I know in my head is most likely completely meaningless in the long-term.

Idle Thumbs 191: Not the Greatest, but the Best
Twig replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
As a side note, I finally bothered to look up Shia's character's name, because I couldn't remember it. Mutt?! I take back everything I said, worst character in the entire history of cinema. (But also secret best, because DAMN, what a great play on "I'm named after the family dog." DAMN. Like SO good. Ahhh! Can't believe I never realized that before.) -
Idle Thumbs 191: Not the Greatest, but the Best

Yeah I can definitely see where you're coming from (Tycho with Marion, and Bjorn with Shia). I think the ending in general was probably the worst part of the movie, hah. Still, I love it. Man, maybe I should just watch all the Indy movies this weekend. -
Hahaha, right? THANKS GAME DEVELOPERS.

Grats SBM!!! Man I tried using Tinder and it's probably because I'm a straight dude (and also probably because I have a gross aura or something), but I never got any matches until I just gave in and started liking literally everyone. I went through a thousand in one night over the course of a few hours, and got... five matches. And then, all of those matches were just spam for webcams and shit. Fortunately, I already have the lowest possible self-esteem, so it didn't bring me any lower...

Haha oh I guess I should make sure all my shit is handled in that regard. -

Real talk: greaser Shia is great. I don't think he's a problem at all. I'll accept nearly all other problems people can name (while also remaining personally and largely indifferent toward them), but Shia is actually a fun character. Boom! -

Yeah that's what I'm hoping. We'll see. -
Well okay then!

I had to quit DAI for the time being because the nVidia driver crashes were happening far too frequently. I'll wait until it's fixed and then maybe get back to it. Who knows. The game is not as good as its two predecessors (though is better than my initial impressions), but I still like the story/characters a lot. Who knows.

Honestly unless I really like it, I just skip the OPs after the first time. Even when I do really like it, I still start skipping it. So I don't know if the Jojo opening was different! Yattermans are definitely evil, though. You're crazy! Maybe in the end there'll be a SHOCK TWIST and it turns out they HAD THEIR REASONS, but at this point in time, they're completely obviously totes full-on bad dudes.

Dang, Dennou Coil is just, like, cyber wizards the anime. I think I said it last time I mentioned the anime, but man it'd be super cool if some sort of augmented reality glasses could do even a fraction of this in the future. It's pretty great, and super imaginative. I'm liking it!

As with every subculture, there are extreme examples who are annoying as hell. And, as with every subculture, there are totally cool people who do their thing without being belligerent about it. I have known people who I'd describe as potheads or stoners or whatever the term (derogatory or otherwise) who are completely tolerable and even likable as individuals. I've also known people who aren't. cough ahem gamergate ahem hem

Man that's a large block of text. I have zero interest in debating whether or not your method of debating is valid. You came off as a huge asshole. That's it. I've said my piece, and now I leave this thread forever!

I'm fairly open to the idea of going vegan (or at least vegetarian), but your aggressive stance earlier on succeeded in nothing but pissing me off. And you know what? There's a difference between tone policing and just not being an asshole.
