The original DKR on Wii had motion controls which, unlike the amazing Super Mario Galaxy, were actually just complete garbage. You had to shake the remote to roll. It ain't no good. Get it for 3DS, I say. (Although I haven't played it on 3DS, so...)

In case anyone is wondering, my new avatar is Ludwig von Koopa dressed up as Tomba, star of the secret best PS1 game, Tomba.

Hmm, fair enough. FAIR ENOUGH!

I mean, sure, I understand that it's not illegal because it's unsafe. But the illegality of it does contribute significantly to a lack of research, wouldn't you agree? Given that, I find it hard to believe all of these things at face value. I think I'm on board with the "can't OD" thing, just because I've looked into it myself, and even sans research, that sort of thing would show up, obviously. But the "not dangerous when mixed with other drugs" thing is what's holding me back. I mean, I don't think that's a valid reason to keep it illegal, or not do it, not by any stretch, but BUT I don't think you can say that without properly researching it, right?

I'm generally on your side of things, Zeus, but when you say things like this it raises my eyebrows JUST A BIT. It's one of those "sounds too good to be true" things. Do you have any science to back this up? Has anyone even DONE any research on this? Seems like, given the overwhelming illegality of it up until recently, it's not something anyone would've gone into in any great depth.

My favorite was probably Rash, then. LOOK AT THOSE SWEET SHADES.

RPS has a writeup. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/01/22/minecraft-hololens-minecraft-reality/ ...This is sounding pretty cool, dudes! It also sounds almost unbelievable. That level of fidelity in interaction, and no complaints of accidental clicks or inaccuracy? Is this real life?

Like apparently a lot of people here, I loved Battletoads when I was a kid. I loved the way their hands morphed into giant weapons. It was the coolest thing to me. I even had a favorite toad, although I can't for the life of me remember which one it was... I also know now that it's... not really a great game. But that nostalgia alone means I'd welcome a GOOD Battletoads game, and it's entirely possible to make a good game these days!

It does auto register, or it should, it did for me, it just doesn't notify you or remind you to fill out the dumb surveys, without which you get no coins. |:

Yeah actually all of my closest friends are also those friends with whom I'd drink heavily pretty much anytime, but we don't necessarily do it all the time. And now I'm in a new city and have to find new drinking buddies. ):

Actually it turns out my to-do history for surveys was just in a completely random order - like feb 10, 2013 -> dec 2, 2014 -> aug 17, 2013 - which is of course completely nonsensical. It also turns out digital purchase surveys expire after a week. ...Why, I don't know. Guess Nintendo was afraid of people hoarding surveys to get coins later for... for some dumb reason. Oh well. I've never felt like I was missing out on anything great, and I'm sure that will be the case here, too.

I logged into my Club Nintendo for the first time since linking my Wee Woo/Nintendo Network ID to the account, and for some reason none of my recent digital purchase games are showing up on Club Nintendo. I mean I've bought... quite a bit since I got my job, so I should have a ton of coins. Alas, I do not. Hmmm? Even 3DS purchases, which have shown up in the past, are not showing up now.

Man I've never been a dick while drunk (at least, not more than usual!) or regretted being drunk, except for two times and that was super early on when I didn't really know how much I could handle. I've also never seen any of my friends do anything like that. I guess I just got lucky. Granted, I only really drink like that maybe five times a year max, and... that only happened one year.

http://www.gamestop.com/accessories/pit-amiibo-figure/117859 Pit's up on Gamestop at this moment (I dunno if it's US only but it probably is...) if you wanted that dude. Limit one per customer, so at the very least it'll take longer than usual for scalpers to pick 'em all up.

NASA and Microsoft already working together for that walk-on-Mars thing in the concept video. http://www.nasa.gov/press/2015/january/nasa-microsoft-collaboration-will-allow-scientists-to-work-on-mars/#.VMBRySvF87F O:

I'm popping back into this thread for a moment to say that, as an experiment, I've tried only ordering vegetarian (vegan if it's available) food for the past three days when going out for lunch, and it's pretty hard. All three places only had one option that didn't have meat (burger joint, pizza joint, taco joint), and I immensely disliked two of them. The other was just a salad and was fine because I like salads (providing it's drowning in sauce). Ughhhh. Well onward to tomorrow, I guess. I will REPORT BACK with further results, should I feel so inclined.

Yeah I dunno. Report button doesn't seem like enough. It'd certainly be abused to hell and back, probably by the same people who abuse Tinder/OKC/etc... Could be a little devious... Have an option that people can select to say they're looking for casual sex, and then only match them up with like thousands of fake profiles that never like them back, so they never get to communicate. That'd only work against the honest ones, though, hah. EDIT: Actually some percentage of them should like back, but then not respond.

I added some photos to Facebook for that exact reason, and I made them private to only me - Tinder can still grab them for usage, so it worked out. I don't have to spam Facebook friends with shitty photos. Hurray!

Yeah, the only problem I have with that idea (as I've mentioned in the anime thread, actually, when talking about Dennou Coil!) is the lack of a tactile response really kind of sucks. Buuuuut, if this kind of thing continues, I could see a sort of glove that gives you a slight rumble on your fingertips and that alone could be enough, I think. And it'd be completely optional, too, ideally. The future is rad. U:

Yeah I'm not all that into legalizing addictive and harmful drugs (but also there is a part of me that's like, well, some people want to and are aware, but... are they really, but isn't it their choice, etc.), but I'm definitely in support of HELPING those people rather than PUNISHING them like we do now. Bleh.
