I've heard/read in the past that even 40 hours is too much as far as optimal productivity goes! No idea if it's true but I like to think it is 'cause I tend to work 40 hours a week and I always feel burnt out on Friday and there are definitely days (as in, days every week) where I'm like "this is too much get me out please".

To be clear, I never said bullying had an overall positive effect on my life. Far from it. I only said that it made me stronger. And it definitely did. I think it's totally legitimate to say that without also meaning that you're better off for it.

Haha, yes, beating Amelia felt soooo good for me. I beat another boss, though! Parry parry parry. Was actually pretty easy once I got the timing down. This is kind of where I struggle with it, too. On the one hand I fully believe no one should have to suffer. But on the other hand, my suffering definitely made me stronger. But on the other other hand, I had no real friends from 3rd grade when my best friend (who was also frequently bullied) was expelled from school for bringing a steak knife to cut an apple (or, at least, that's what I was told, there may have been other circumstances), all the way up to sophomore year of high school when I finally opened up again...

I'm pretty happy my ghost gif made it in 'cause I'm quite proud of it. I made myself laugh way too much last night as I was building up to that moment.

I was pretty stoked when I got that weapon but then realized I'd probably need to make a new character and focus entirely on arcane to use it. Which is something I kind of want to do, but I'm not like a lot of people who play these games. I don't want to rush through the same content over and over. I'll just reach the caps on str/skill and switch over to leveling up arcane. Well or vit. Which is still only 20. But I seem to be doing okay! EDIT: Oh yeah hitting Amelia's head is a pretty good deal. It definitely does a lot of damage and if you manage to stagger her, or catch her offguard after a heavy attack, try to focus on that. FWIW once I was able to kill her the game as a whole became a lot more manageable for me. I think, for me, it was just a matter of getting used to how Souls games work all over again.

At this point I deal with the loading screens by picking up my phone and internetting until it's ready for me. It's also kind of a nice break from the oppressiveness that you mention, heh. When I was where you are though yeah I was pretty much EXACTLY where you are. It really sucked a lot.
