3 more exams. FML.

The worst I've seen in the past were the obese old men wearing tight orange bikinis. Yowser. Still, I don't mind the ladies wearing the same costume. Just not the men.
-
Pah, I've done it all before. Besides, I went and *won* the Trackmania challenge on Saturday (hell yeah) and played the games I needed to, so that I could write them up when I got back home! Was nice to actually sit back and eat free chocolate and drink free water.
-
I too, was there! I spent the vast majority of my time hiding in the Press area, simply because it had seats and free food. 'Twas a good day.
-
Thanks man, just bought it. Was hoping to get a spare copy of FoA but they said No Ah well, live and learn! At any rate, I'm living.

Go Donkey lady go!

I've always loved Garnett Lee's shows, and whilst Weekend Confirmed is no 1Up Yours (yet), it's a damned fine show. Plus, last week they; A: had John Davison B: read out my question in 4 Minute Warning.

Red Ring has a special three year warranty, so chances are, unless you got yours at launch, you should be fine. Just state in the form that it's a Red Ring and it'll adjust.

Not so bad. Stuck on a ridiculously annoying Standard deviation question, if anyone can help; The heights of a population of women are normally distributed with mean X cm and standard deviation Y cm. It is known that 30% of the women are taller than 172 cm and 5% are shorter than 154 cm. (a) Sketch a diagram to show the distribution of heights represented by this information. (3) ( Show that the mean = 154 + 1.6449Standard Deviations (3) © Obtain a second equation and hence find the value of the mean and the value of the standard deviation. Stuck on C if y'all could help EDIT: Nvm, got it. Feel like a king.

I assume by the way that people are exclaiming /cry from the Americas, this is a UK thing? If so, I'm horribly tempted to say yes, assuming you haven't already been snagged?

My wankerish English Language teachers told me that all of the slides/powerpoints they showed us was on the Virtual learning Environment. I log on, and there's nothing there. Fuck you English Language Department. HOW WILL I EVER KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN SPEECH? God I hate speech so much.

Well without the amount of bugs RDR has, it seems they already did. Woooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
-
SC if you want a strong, engaging single player experience. Just Cause 2 if you want to blow shit up.

Bought the Steam Play Pack (ToMI and Devil's Playhouse) and whilst I'm clearly stupid as fuck (WHY WON'T HE EAT THE FOOD SO I CAN TALK TO HIM?) the humour is pretty astounding. I don't think I've ever laughed this hard at a Video game before, ever. Annoyed that Steam Play Pack 2 came out like a day later with Season 2 of SaM for just £15 extra. To buy the season on its own is £21. Damn you Jake. Damn you. Edit: Well that was a surprisingly simple and logical puzzle.

Hey, I never said it was a good excuse.
-
So it's good fun?
-
The basic answer to all these questions is; A) Because it's a Video game
-
Well it's not ice really, it's just... solid water, I guess.

Well, the criticisms of hand-holding and general easiness, along with the no-dying thing were the main 'downers', but I didn't feel they left the game down at all. I liked the fact I would restart instantly, and it all helped added to the fluidity and motion of the game.
-
Oh, not at all! I just read the mention of PoP 2008 and I was reminded how much I loved that game. I can understand the criticisms, but they were the reason I loved the game. The fluidity was fantastic and the game itself was gorgeous.
-
PoP 2008 was my favourite game of that year. Love love loved that game.

Hey guys, I know this will probably seem like extremely ghey self-promotion, but I thought you might be an audience that would like to read this sort of thing. Basically, I recently wrote an article called 'Rated M for Mature', which tries to explore what it means to be a mature Video game. It's available to read here, but if you could access it via N4G, that would be even cooler. I would copy and paste it into here, but it's pretty long and would be a killer to read, so I decided against it. The general gist of it is; In my view, there are four types of Mature game. One that causes a mature emotional response within the player, one that covers 'mature' ground such as drugs, violence, sex etc., one that includes childish subject matter but deals with it in a mature way, or one that treats the player as a mature individual. What do you think is a mature Video game?
-
Oh you bastard. I keep buying games lately, I can't keep doing this x_x
-
Oh, absolutely. Almost any definition of an abstract idea qualifies on the society in which the idea is presented. I am looking more at the "Why does the ESRB label it Mature? What does that even mean?" angle. Or at least, I tried to.
