I left that bit alone - didn't even realise you could do anything to change it until way afterwards.

Sup dudes. So I'm starting a new venture soon. Basically, I love doing interviews in this business, but transcribing them is always a pain in the ass. Especially the sort of interviews I do - long, drawn-out, (hopefully) more in-depth. So I decided I'd make a podcast feed consisting purely of interviews with people in the games industry. Think Nerdist, WTF with Marc Maron, etc. I want the show to be about the people in this industry, whether they're the well-known Peter Molyneuxs, David Jaffes, etc. or the lesser known, but still vitally important sound engineers, programmers, artists etc. Talking to them about their lives, about video games, stories from video games, etc. So yeah, I have all that, but I don't have a name. The only name I keep returning to is '... And Then A Grenade Rolled Down A Hill'. However, not only is that the worst, it's also A: horribly long and B: terribly in-jokey. On the main hand though, it does encapsulate what I want from the show - stories from/about video games. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. PS: Also, if any of you know anything about good recorders/dictaphones for around £120 that'd be awesome. PPS: I'll also be needing the mic/dict for Uni lecture recording purposes.

Already done. Buried in the Credits is me!
-
so we're all agreed? Buried in the Credits? kk here we go.
-
I don't get the Babble-on thing (Unless it's Video Game Babylon?) and unfortunately I doubt the majority of people will understand what parley is.
-
Ok, I had another idea: What do we think about 'Buried in the Credits'?
-
I've written up several rather long interviews, yes. The most prominent in my memory is one I conducted with Spaff and Alex Evans from MM, and a recent one with Todd Batty from EA Vancouver about SSX. EDIT: I quite like Check My Levels, but again, I worry it's too much of a reference to the Irrational Interviews podcast.

Well, Anecdote like a story. That's what I want the show/site to be about. Stories about games. Totally. like, totally. video games.
-
GUYES. I GOT IT. IT'S AMAZING. Anecdotally Video Games. Right? Right?? (May also do AnecTotally Video Games) PS: I am totally being serious here. What do you guys think? I've heard maybe Anecdotally Games is better, but I like making the disctinction it's video games, not just games.

Grenades don't kill people; hills do. -
Loving it, Nappi. Is it weird/wrong I'm still kinda leaning towards '... And Then A Grenade Rolled Down A Hill'? Someone talk me out of it if it's horrible.4

I should also point out that I'm also planning on chatting to non-developers, ie. Press, marketing, PR etc.

My honest, best strategy for the bosses? Fire off a couple rounds, run, save, die, load, repeat.

I'm annoyed in that I played it the whole way through stealthily, no kills, and I didn't hear any alarms go off. I got 3 achievements (complete the game, complete it on hard, no kills) but no Alarm-free achievement. I was disappointed. In other news, fuck me that game was good.

I just wonder when it'll open up for Europeans

I will remix everything. EVERYTHING!!!

This is the best thing. Sometimes I see spiders when there are none. -
So I missed out on my Oxford offer earlier today by exactly 1% in my Maths A level. Disappointed to say the least (I know it's not the end of the world, etc) but I've applied for an emergency remark - I thought I did far better in that one exam than the mark that came through - and so we'll see early next week what happens. Otherwise, I don't know what I'm going to do. In other news, I'm in gamescom courtesy of EA, and I got some world-exclusive news in my interview yesterday with Todd Batty, Creative Director of SSX. That was fun.

Alas, I am in Cologne tomorrow onwards for GamesCom, but no GDC for me!
-
Is it your favourite because it looks like Jake is a freak with two right hands
-
I'm looking forward to getting one of these from Eurogamer, and trying it out next week at GamesCom! It's never really seemed like something I'd be interested in, to be perfectly honest, but for free? Sure, why not.
-
I am, and forever will be, this guy. And this guy, too. (for Rodi)
-
Oh man you're not a hideously creepy skull. Phew.
-
I assume so. I'm there working for EA, so I reckon I will!
-
It's Xtreme!!!! Snowboarding. Great series. And it's not as bad as it sounds. If you think about it, I have a whole week and I only need to report on one game, giving me lots of time to go around and see lots of different things and people.

So the Facebook Civ game is entering an Alpha test soon (January 12th) and you can sign up here: http://www.2kgames.com/civworld/alpha/ Information about it is here: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150091587224561 You can sign up straight away, but you have to have a team of people to do so. I figured it would be easiest if I was the 'Team Leader' (as far as I understand, it just means that we'll play together) and so, team name is: Civ Thumbs and my name is: Phillipe Bosher It looks/sounds cool, so if you want to join, please do! Note: I don't think we need to be facebook friends for this to work EDIT: Fixed the link Murdoc mentioned.
