Twin Peaks Rewatch 12: Laura's Secret Diary
pabosher replied to Jake's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
fuck. I wish it was common practise to label what spoiler boxes were about. Just read the identity of Laura's killer, expecting the spoiler box to be related to the post author's previous non-spoilers sentence. Fuck. Not anyone's fault bar mine, I'll say now. Just a shame, as I was quite enjoying the attempt to figure out whodunnit. -
Wait, what, you can do that?!?

The one that got me was the quick-cut section of the end of S2E1. That seriously screwed me up, even to the point where as I lay in bed that night my brain would occasionally flash an image of Bob.

I don't know if this has been answered elsewhere, but I haven't seen it -- will there be another run of the Idle Vice t-shirts, specifically the M Medium?

Hey Thumbs, Between Sept 15th and Dec 11th this year (88 days total), I will be travelling from New York to San Francisco. I have booked the flights, but have literally no idea what I'm going to do, where I'm going to visit, or where I'm going to stay. So, suggestions! Do you know of a cool secret place? Tell me about it! Do you want to hang out and have lunch at some crazy Man vs Food location? Let's do it!

Idle Thumbs 161: The Eyes of Luigi

Nick Breckon presence means this is a wonderful episode. Combined with lots of Nintendo talk, makes this a gooooood episode. -
Y'all have been added!

BigJKO also made the same joke. When I received my friend request: "SpeedyDesiato? I miss that guy!"

I've heard Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is a better sidescroller than NSMBU, so I'm going to get that instead for that niche; already own Pikmin 3 and WWHD (in fact, I have the WW Special Edition Wii U) and Wii Party U doesn't really interest me.

Griddlelol, I had the exact same conundrum, hah. I went with Wonderful 101 because I've just finished my degree, and I feel like I could do with playing something where I have the ability to just switch my brain off and enjoy it.
-
I was just wondering if this thread existed, and boom! Add: SpeedyDesiato if you want to get your ass HANDED TO YOU* in Mario Kart. *No seriously, I'm super sweet** at this game. **Ah, I'm just joshing y'all. Let's play video games together!

I predict that I will be 100% less interested in the Sony presser due to the sad lack of Jack Tretton.
-
I appreciated it, don't you worry.

I've only watched Episode 1, and not seen the movie. I have two thoughts: 1) What the fuck 2) Is it just me, or is Martin Freeman just working on his best Matthew Broderick impression?

Because I'm in the midst of finals season at University, have a 5000 word project to write by Friday, of which I've only written 1000, of which 700 is utter horseshit, and also am rapidly running out of money just trying to survive. Oh, it was a rhetorical question.

I am very glad that Llewyn Davis off Inside Llewyn Davis is in this film. I loved him a lot in Inside Llewyn Davis.

What does this mean for if I were to order one now?

It's amazing how a bad day can ruin your workout, which can completely demotivate you. I'm sure some of you know I'm in the midst of dissertation season right now, and yesterday was a bad day with very little work done. Going to the gym in the evening was hell, and I managed maybe 2 out of the regular 12 exercise sets I normally do. It demoralised me so badly that I couldn't even go for a swim this morning.

Yeah, the lunge is particularly difficult for me as I have weak knees, and recently damaged my left knee even further - I basically tripped and fell and cut it open about two months ago, which is still healing - so it's a very slow process that one. As soon as there's a rhythm going tho, it's easier. And yeah, the actual bicep curl with those weights is pretty hard; by the end, it gets very hard to even lift it halfway The TRX rows are great! I think it's because I'm a swimmer and thus just generally have good upper body strength all round, and I enjoy doing something a little more zany. Pull ups are difficult too, man. I still struggle with the pullups where your hands are facing away from you. I can maybe do 10 before I fall. My advice is to just do one. Just one. Then try another. If you can't, try again tomorrow. You've got to keep pushing yourself. Rxanadu, I'd recommend really trying to stick to it - you will find yourself feeling stronger, and you'll learn your body's rhythm. The whole 3x reps thing is a really good way of doing it. Do it til it hurts on the first, take a short rest, and try and hit that number again, and again.

Do it again tomorrow! And the day after! Then rest. You'll get better
