I'm annoyed, cause when I got sent the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, I started foaming at the mouth. Not cause of boob scythe lady, but because there hasn't been a new Cyberpunk game for... forever. Shadowrun, E.Y.E, System Shock, and now Boob Explosion 2077 are the only ones I can think of at all. Can someone please recommend any others? Preferably ones that don't contain Tits McArmbladeson (which I'm sure is her name).

Let me explain: I've heard the virtues of SS2 extolled everywhere. Idle Thumbs, my friends, and basically the entire internet has told me I need to play this game. So I've tried. And it is impossible. Now, I know I don't suck at games. I'm not a Video Games Wizard or anything, but I can hold my own pretty well. But for some reason, I just can't get through System Shock 2. Nothing works; I get killed when I try to use melee combat, I get killed when I try to shoot things, and I get killed when I try to use stealth, cause the enemies psychically know where I am! Please, someone tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can enjoy this game. TELL ME WHYYYYYYYy

So am I doing something wrong? Whenever I go into the idlethumbs DOTA 2 chat channel, there's always people there, but nobody is talking, and I have no idea how to get into a game with some fellow Thumbs, rather then weird randoms. HELP HOW DOES I MATCHMAKE

Okay, so I'm playing through again with Sno's advice. This game has now become fucking awesome. Just wanted to say that.

Oh gods, Hard Reset. Honestly, I find that game extremely frustrating. They got the ambience of a Blade Runner-esque thing... but all you do is run around at a thousand miles an hour, shooting men for hours on end. I don't want to shoot up that space at all, I want to explore it. They have a gorgeous world which zips by as you bunny jump around wasting robots with a chaingun.

Do you know if this works with the unofficial 2.4 patch? Cause that thing is great.

Wow, topic explosion. o_o Thanks for the advice Sno, I'll try to replay the game with it, and hopefully not die. I played it on Easy and it was totally unforgiving, so... And yes, fuck space monkeys. I don't remember how far I got, but I got to those bastards.

I have, I don't think I articulated what I mean very well: If I was actually plugging my own music that I make for money, I'd put it there. But this is a thing I do for free because I really like Idle Thumbs, so I dunno if I could put it there. Especially since I'll probably be making multiple posts in this thread as I do more. Is this thread in the wrong place?

Well, I put this thread in "Video games" since the episode discussion seems to be entirely about episodes, and that music thread is music recommendations, and it seems silly for me to recommend this stuff as my own, when I'm really just making cool stuff for a community I really like. Also, here is a new remix! Far Cry 3 obviously lacks restraint, so I figured that I would make the remix lack restraint as well. I was successful, and no restraint can be found. I'm not sure if any good music can be found either though, but that's not up to me to judge.

As one of those people that holds up the original Deus Ex as one of the Pinnacles Of Game Design, and is extremely reluctant about this game, are my fears unfounded? Because I saw a bit of a video playthrough and it seems to miss out on what made the original Deus Ex great, as cliche as that is to say.
