  1. I will remix everything. EVERYTHING!!!

I will soon be posting an mp3 file in this thread.
  2. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

Thank you! I'm glad it was enjoyed. Heh, I was trying to combine every Scout remix I've ever heard into one song. I'll probably do more remixes of random things in the future.
  3. Plug your shit

Hi there, thumbs! I haven't posted in a while, and it's not because I hate all of you, it's because I've been busy! Busy, in fact, with an album! This album, specifically. If any of you excellent folk would take a listen and tell me what you think, I would greatly appreciate that. Or, you could listen and tell me that you hate it with the fury of a thousand suns, track me down, and decapitate me with a battleaxe. Both options are available!
  4. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

79D4rQpn8WM I made this! Hopefully it is not terrible or anything.
  5. Bitchy thread tags

One of the tags seems to be "son your cat is derp" 4CHAN ALERT!!! ALL HANDS ON DECK!!! MAN YOUR BATTLESTATIONS!!!!!
  6. Life

Man, what kind of nightmare theater do you go to? All the theaters I go to are generally pretty quiet, aside from the occasional baby, which sadly does not have an on/off switch.
  7. So, there's a thread somewhere on the Idle Forums about how fucked you are if you enter the video game industry. And I started asking about how soundtrack-makers and sound designers would fit it, which completely derailed the thread. Then I somehow killed it. So I wanted to make a thread in the appropriate place: right here. (Warning: I may get pretentious.) I'll start things off. First of all: Amercian McGee's Alice. This may seem like an odd choice, but it's one of those soundtracks that fits the game perfectly. Chris Vrenna constructed the soundtracks out of children's instruments (toy pianos and the like), strings, and ambient noises, like slamming doors. (I'll just post links, because this post is going to be long enough already.) Taking Tea in Dreamland: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnl5hGbCWpM&feature=related Pandemonium: Also, Deus Ex has a fantastic soundtrack. Alexander Brandon, Michiel Van Den Bos, and... someone else give the game a unique feel, through silky-smooth synth lines that lend the game an element of mystery. UNATCO Theme: Versalife: Finally, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. It seems I'm in the minority when I say that I loved that game, but there's probably no argument on the soundtracks of Zelda games. With a Zelda game, you mostly know what to expect, but the artist responsible for the soundtrack (I can't remember his complicated japanese name) mixes things up. Dragon Roost Island: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIu5LvkSKl4 Dragon Roost Island Again: How about y'all? What are your favorites?
  8. Bitchy thread tags

Well that got a little silly.
  9. Tabletop RPGs

*Clears throat*Also, I realized if I'm assistant DM'ing I will not be able to play a character. This displeases me, and makes me think that perhaps I should reconsider my stance. Also, can somebody link me the campaign setting we're using again? I'm afraid I've gotten a bit lost.
  10. Dreams!

    Yes.
  11. Tabletop RPGs

I'd be happy to assistant DM, I've been running RPG's for as long as I've known what they are.
  12. Edited

    Debated.
  13. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

It's kind weirdly reassuring that radio in the UK is just as banal and horrible as it is in the US. We have the exact same problem here: certain songs gets are played ad infinitum on the radio until you want the creators to burn into piles of ash.
  14. anime

I feel horrible, because I was like "OH MAN, HELL YES!!!!", and then I was like, "oh. It's a real person, now I feel like a jerk".
  15. Movie/TV recommendations

Why are they making another one? The first one was awesome enough. /childhood.
  16. Plug your shit

That's not actually the wizard I was thinking of, but oh well. The song isn't mine, that's Gross Magik, by Tobacco. The original music video for the song I felt was lacking, so I thought making a fanmade music video would be fun. I also thought making it as trippy as possible would be appropriate. My next few videos will be music videos for my own songs. axjc0JPMvXU (And not as stupid as that one.)
  17. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

That would Tobacco is fucking brilliant, it's one guy. He's brilliant nonetheless, though. If anyone enjoyed that Tobacco track, they should check out the band he comes from, Black Moth Super Rainbow. They're ace. H52g8rZCdec Also, I felt like that Solar Bears song had potential, but it was just a little too low-key for me.
  18. Movie/TV recommendations

This is so not current, but I recently watched Donnie Darko. What I expected was a weird, freakout horror movie thing. What I got was what I would describe as the strangest highschool drama ever. Funny, dark, and sad. I liked it!
  19. Plug your shit

For my video production class this school semester, I did a very strange music video! Have a look and tell me what you think! May contain wizards. XzvqthUBeiY
  20. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Hahaha, nonono! Heavens no. This will serve as both a clarification and a plug. I recently did a fan music video for a artist I like, Tobacco, who does extremely trippy music. Check it out! XzvqthUBeiY The kind of music I like is more along lines: very trippy, lots of analog synthesizers, less rock.
  21. Professor Layton and the Underpant Pillage

I just stopped in this thread to say: the thread title may be the most brilliant thing I have seen today.
  22. anime

Oh believe me, if I linked even half the things I liked, everybody here would probably internet-look at me like I do copious amounts of illegal narcotics. Thompson can attest to this.
