  1. Alright, it took a while, but I finished the remix for this episode! My computer did it's best to stop me, but it worked out in the end! http://tindeck.com/listen/weun This one isn't that great.
  2. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 2

Okay! I check out that free game, and decided that I will never play Neptune's Pride (or Bounty, I actually can't remember anymore) ever again!
  3. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 2

Alright, I'll check out a free game, and see if I like Neptune's Prideful Bounty.
  4. Alpha Protocol: faces aren't the only thing that get beards and hats.
  5. Child of Eden

Holy shit. I have no idea what that is, but I instantly want it. I wish to CONSUME it. WITH MY MIND.
  6. New people: Read this, say hi.

    HAI WATS UP
  7. Neptune's Bountiful Pride 2

I'm on the fence about joining this endeavor. On the one hand, all the political maneuvering sounds fascinating to me. On the other hand, strategy games confuse me, and I am terrible at them. What to do?
  8. Either that, or the Gap Model Superdouche Fidel Castro main character from Alpha Protocol.
  9. I think you guys took that six weeks off to build up your Pod Power, because this is probably my favorite episode of Idle Thumbs ever, other then You Gotta Have The Spice. There's so much good material! David Hasselhoff's crotch! Beatboxing tugboats! Fidel Castro Gap Supermodel Douches! Nick! Baby autopsies! I hardly know what to remix! Also, this is what Chris was talking about. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/images/10/june/apw/apw8.jpg
  10. A Question

Alrighty, so I'm seeing all these threads and all these multiplayer games being played, and I can't find any dates for playtimes! I could be missing something blindingly obvious (I have the observational powers of a Lima bean after all), but ... Halp! How is I play game?
  11. A Question

Ah, that explains it. I'll do these things. I would have, but I'm extremely shy, even on the internet.
  12. Holy shit, a new episode! Chris Remo has seen his shadow, and there will be 6 more months of winter! What a day!
  13. Worms Armageddon

    Anybody remember that?
  14. Thanks, Idle Thumbs!

Here's a story that might amuse. I'm a big audio guy. It's rare that you'll see me without my trusty iPod, or some other device on. That's not to say I shut out the world, if someone starts talking to me, I pull off my headphones and start listening intently. I'm also big on re-listening to podcasts. Especially Idle Thumbs. There's something about the podcast that makes the old episodes never get old. I've listened to those episodes so much that they've become the sonic equivalent of comfort food for me. This came is handy a few days ago, when I was in more pain then I had ever been in my life. At 4 AM last Sunday, I had an extremely violent Grand Mal seizure, dislocating both my arms, nearly biting through my tongue, and straining every muscle in my body. I wasn't aware of the seizure at the time, all I knew was I woke up, and my arms were on fire and almost immobile. Know which podcast I listened to on the way to the hospital, to take my mind off the pain, before I finally got some sedative in me? Idle Thumbs. Thanks, thumbs! I'm not sure why I'm posting my little sob story to this forum, I just thought it might warm your collective hearts to hear about this.
  15. Worms Armageddon

I don't have nearly enough money to pay for Microsoft's overpriced wireless Mc-bobs, or whatever they're called. I barely have enough money to pay for games. So no XBLA for me.
  16. Non-video games

I WOULD play a bunch of roleplaying games like D&D and such, but I live in an area where basically no one wants to do that.
  17. Emergent Gameplay

More on topic, here's an interesting (and frustrating) thing. I had actually played Far Cry 2 before I started to listen to Idle Thumbs. I must have played it for a good 20 hours, but I can swear that nothing emergent happened to me. It was an enjoyable, well-built game, but that's all it felt like t me. So when I hear people talk about all the crazy stuff that happened to them, and how emergent the gameplay is, I'm just confused. I feel similarly about other games that are supposed to have emergent systems. Am I blind to emergence?
  18. This appears to be me: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Snooglebum I would love to play a video game! perhaps several!
  19. Emergent Gameplay

  20. iPhone 4

I will continue to be sad and jealous of you people with money.
  21. Thanks, Idle Thumbs!

It was... surprising, to say the least.
  22. Injuries That Prevented Gaming.

    Best injury ever.
  23. Thanks, Idle Thumbs!

We should! I could probably play now, my hands work fine; it's my arms that hurt to move. This.
  24. Worms Armageddon

Well, I have to end explorer.exe on Windows 7 to play it, so that aspect isn't that perfect.
