What I find pleasing about the Thumbs forums is that it didn't even occur to me that there was a moderating team. Other forums seem to need a heavy handed approach to keeping the users in order. I can only assume that we are a bunch of nice people.

Visiting a Steam Fair today I spotted this beast (not my pic, but same bike). I've done a fair amount of sport climbing and this game really does bring across the problem solving aspect of it, brilliant! I love that you are also performing some keyboard gymnastics with your fingers, aping the dude climbing with his crazy arms and legs.

Quake2 LAN party, awake for 48 hours battling with sleep bought on by cannabis use and being awake for too long. That was a rough few days recovering from that. I have exciting news, I'm going to be a dad in August this year. I think I'm the happiest man alive at the moment...

@Thunderpeel I've set up home just across from your house. My mining operation seems to be right in the middle of your perimeter tunnel at bedrock level, I've put in loads of doors to stop any unwanted things wandering into your shizzle though so hopefully I don't cause you any probs.

For the record I had a mooch though Thunderpeel's chests in his fancy house, looking for a pickaxe as I had just spawned, naked and alone in the world. Didn't take anything in the end but some kind of IOU system would be nice to keep track of the 'borrows'. Of course I'm now drinking your Cognac and smoking your fine Cigars, all whilst wearing your slippers.

Oh crap! I finished a game, this is something of an event for me as I get easily bored and generally never finish anything. Yay me! Metro 2033 was pretty cool I seemed to have blatted through it in about nine hours so I'm not sure I saw all I could have. I think the fact that the game was giving me simulation sickness and the haggard gasmask breathing was pretty close to setting off my Asthma (some kind of psychosomatic empathy for the protagonist maybe?) caused me to rush through places I could have taken my time over. Over all, an eight out of ten for Metro 2033 from me. Beautiful to look at, engrossing and terrifying to play. Just some dumb AI letting it down a little.

Oh just a note, this wasn't the Thumbs server, it's the one we play at work.

So, walking along and what do I find? A big fat chunk of hell in the middle of the wilderness. It's an 'L' shape, about 50 blocks along the long sides and it goes from bedrock to the full height allowed by the game. Weird. S.
