I am a filthy farmer is where I am getting these engrams Note legendaries are still very rare, but this method nets you a ton of crappy blue/green engrams. Which decrypting will level up your cryptarch. And every cryptarch level from 3 on gets you a reward engram that has a chance to be legendary (or better, from what I''ve read, although the best I've gotten was legendary). My cryptarch is currently level 6? Also I think there is a tiny chance to get a legendary off a blue engram.

finally got my first pieces of usable legendary stuff (yay!) (I have, apparently, legendary helmets for every class except my own) both were weapons so neither increased my light/level (boo!) also one of them was a shotgun. (boo! hiss!) also I'm just a couple of bounties away from level 3 vanguard and have 79 marks or so saved so I should be able to afford something on that front soon.

Idle Thumbs 176: The Classic Alien Form
juv3nal replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
I haven't played terror aboard the speedwell, but the credits mention it features illustration from Elizabeth Simmins? Who is the artist responsible for the GFI t shirts. Is it mere coincidence that the game is featured on the same episode that Anita appears as a guest? I think not! (insert an mspaint image with lots of red arrows) -

Anita! Disneyland! Rad! -
I'm in the same boat as you, bar having just made level 23 on rares alone. I have read that leveling up your rank with the cryptowhatever-engram-decoding-guy results in better drops. Not entirely sure how true that is, but there may be something to it as I never saw any rares at all early on in the game. While they are not exactly common now, they do at least appear.

Also sometimes, for instance, retweeting something may draw unwanted attention. It's easy to get in the frame of mind "erry one needs to know and be outraged about this heinous thing that happened," but sometimes the person(s) to whom it happened would rather it be forgotten, despite their potentionally non-private speaking about it on twitter.

came across this in the AMA which was interesting:

So apparently even 4chan has had enough of the gaters: https://twitter.com/Chuck_Nasty_/status/512005780758073344 just let that sink in for a second "in the face of 4chan's censorship" we are officially in bizarro world

Speaking of which, I really don't like/understand the shotgun. If it's not going to take down run of the mill grunt mobs (edit: who are at level parity with me) in 2 shots plus a melee attack, what is even the point. Even at close range I reckon I can probably do better hip firing a sniper rifle. And it's not the case of the shotgun being underlevelled (or at least not any more so than any of my other weapons), I only gave it a try because it was blue whereas my sniper was green.

So at lvl 21 with a couple of RL pals at lvl 13, we got our butts handed to us repeatedly on one of the lvl 14 venus strikes last night. That stuff is no joke. Think they need to gain some levels before we have another crack at it. Just me being overlevelled is clearly not enough to make up for them being underlevelled.

How Firewatch, BioShock, Gone Home and System Shock are all set in the same universe
juv3nal replied to maximusfuller's topic in Video Gaming
So this is an alternate universe/dimension (in the style of binfinite) where uncle Oscar chooses to exile himself to the Wyoming wilderness (taking on the assumed name Henry) instead of locking himself up in his house after he abuses Terence. This fits with Henry's dark mysterious past that he seems to be trying to run away from and also explains the presence of the books. (There are of course problems with dates and such, but we can hand wave this away with "alternate dimension/world") Got to say it's pretty bold for Campo Santo to have the player take on the role of a child molester. -
haha someone bought garbagegamers.us and made it a redirect to goodgamers.us

She's on Patricia Hernandez' channel. I think it is patriciaxhx on twitch. There's not really a schedule though afaik though one of them will usually make announcement on twitter.

omg hai strangeblades. We are renegades, crossing the GWJ and Idle Forums streams.

*raises hand* I'm a "cozy" mystery fan and got the Curtain joke. A neat thing about Curtain is that while it isn't one of the better Poirot stories, it's probably one of Christie's most "fair play" mysteries, certainly the most explicitly so as the traditional summation scene has a lot of "didn't you notice x" where x is something that had been previously clearly noted in the text.

well played

If I were a defender of child porn subreddits, I probably wouldn't want to get doxxed either I guess.

I read this and have no idea what nefariousness they are actually even accusing the people involved of. Even if it's all true (it seems largely true, bar a few factual inaccuracies), the fact that people are connected/have worked together/know each other...so fucking what?

Yeah I have no idea what's going on under the hood, but my hand cannon has way better stats/efficacy in pve, but in pvp I'm doing way better with my assault rifle. I'm still absolutely terrible at pvp, but somehow gained 2 levels while doing the bounty for completing 5 matches. I'm not sure I actually want to play more of it (because I suck so hard), but fully half the bounties are for it, it's tempting.

Jaya Saxena at the Toast weighs in with "I'm A Gamer" also the comments section is pretty good, due in no small part because the toast's moderation will take absolutely zero misogynist shit

I played the beta on PS3. It was totally fine, impressive even. But I was looking for an excuse to get a PS4 anyways, so.

David Lynch's Josh Brolin's Campo Santo's Fire Watch With Me: A Motion Picture Event

Oh no wonder it's so cheap, the "Code Red" branding must mean they're being subsidized by Mountain Dew. -
