Bearing in my it's been ages since I've played the game, but I don't remember using locking at all? It's possible I didn't use the batman jumping move either though. You can definitely do the normal counterattack without locking, right?

For 80 Days fans, Meg Jayanth was on an episode of the Indie Haven podcast recently: http://indiehaven.com/episode-65-meg-jayanth-the-indie-haven-podcast/

Yay for the 80 days talk. I'd appreciate a spoil on the solution for the murder mystery if anyone has it. I was not clever enough to figure it out and it would take me a while to get back to that point again (assuming randomness didn't somehow prevent me from getting there).

I don't know that it's particularly incisive, but this gdc talk is pretty entertaining: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/228400/Video_Why_everything_and_nothing_is_killing_the_game_industry.php

The thing with the name Prospero is If it's just because that is also the name of a character what has supernatural powers, that's a shitty reason to make the reference. I dunno what happens in Ethan Carter but unless Paul Prospero exhibits a controlling possessiveness towards his daughter, it's kind of not an apt allusion to make (at least from the Shakespeare end of things). There's no point in shoehorning a reference in for the sake of making a reference; in fact I'd argue it's counterproductive.

Ditto that. I managed to find another raid group and even knowing exactly what we had to do, just the very last phase, the one where you actually kill the end boss, still took us a whole mess of tries. The basic mechanic remains the same, but we ended up shuffling through iterations in terms of who was going to be assigned to which task until we settled on something that was going to work for our particular mix of levels and player ability etc., and that's going to vary for any group you end up in, I think.

Twin Peaks Rewatch 0: The Pre-Episode
juv3nal replied to Chris's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
Clever of you to stash that explanation inside a spoiler tag so ben will never see it. -
Re: Gibson, the documentary about him is on youtube also on the internet archive: https://archive.org/details/NoMapsForTheseTerritories I've read everything of his aside from Distrust That Particular Flavor and probably like Virtual Light the least? That's somewhat understandable, because they're kind of not sci fi. Still enjoyable though.

Anita's XOXO talk is on youtube now:

He's always been kind of a grumpy face on adventure games he dislikes. It's like if he decides he dislikes something, he's just going to pull out all the stops and nitpick it to pieces, while cheerfully ignoring similar issues in a game he's decided he likes. I've not noticed a similar issue with non-adventure games, but that may just be down to me not noticing (as opposed to it not being an issue).

It looks interesting, but that arcade game thingyy...it's the kind of thing I wouldn't necessarily mind having to play once, but if that's a thing you have to repeat, blegh.
-
You're not wrong. Mostly it was me being pissed off and wanting to get revenge against a yellow psion that when on par level I woulda been able to take out before running out of health, but when underleveled, I just wasn't able to deal.

Shoutout to JonCole/jonac13 and GOODYBOY/Energheizer for toughing out that lvl 28 strike. The coins were just enough for me to grab my one piece of exotic armor.

Oh wait wat? That's the whole reason I haven't checked it out is because I have no interest in Dark Souls.
