I'll reiterate that Chivalry is a super fun game that is worth the 10 bucks, I think.

I bought Farm Simulator 2013. AWWWW YEA.

Oh, if you guys are getting back together in not playing Arma, please tell me so I can join you folks in not playing Arma.

I haven't bought anything during the sale, but I did buy Chivalry just before the sale. There's always something finicky with first person melee, lack of depth perception and all that, but I've been enjoying it a lot. Once you get a hang of the nuances, duelling becomes really exciting. All in all, I'm having a blast with it and wish Thumbs would buy it so we can multi-knight together.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American pals! (and Canadians? Do they celebrate Thanksgiving today?)

Congratulations! You'll be able to science like the best of them! I on the other hand, am about ready to murder a fool. Construction work being done just outside, guy drilling into the wall in the most ANNOYING WAY POSSIBLE since early this morning. Every time he/she stops I'm about to fall asleep a while later AND IT STARTS AGAIN put that fucking drill up your ass sideways, fucking asshole. But Lu, that person is just doing their job, YES AND I DEAL WITH UNEXPECTED SLEEP LOSS VERY POORLY. I feel a little better now... Just wish I wasn't so sleepy.

Is the conclusion I draw from that as patronizing as it sounds in my head? "This isn't a video game, people!"

I KNOW THIS *ahum* It's the 's' in https that causes it to no longer work. Thank you, thank you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAimJ-EXOF8

Yea, I was talking to a friend about the tutorial stuff yesterday. I keep trying to get into it (haven't given up either), but I have no idea what to do most of the time. I normally hate it when games take me by the hand and spell everything out for me, but in this case it might've been prudent. Their tutorials kind of point out how the systems in their game work, but not necessarily how to use them and, you know, actually play the game. One of these days I'll get it.

That is amazing, Mington. I was somewhat compelled to shop the cigarette into a candy cane, but I was too lazy and that is way better.

Well fuck you too, buddy! Happy holidays!

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS
Lu replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
I saw it on RPS who saw it on Eurogamer. -
Dark space is the space in between galaxies. The Cerberus thing is quite right, though. Total bullshit. The whole big evil thing that Bioware is fond of doing is almost always the least interesting thing about their games, to me. In Dragon Age 2, it kind of felt refreshing to not have to save the world. Shame they felt the need to push that game out the door as quickly as possible.

Indeed. After destroying Sovereign and the Collector base, it turned out that Shepard's worst enemy had been this all along. It would've been a bit of a technological oversight for the most advanced cybernetic organisms in the galaxy otherwise.

This was a pretty memorable ladder for me, as they totally got me with that one. Jerks.

Oh, that's a tough one. Off the top o' me head and in no particular order, I'd have to go with Journey, The Walking Dead and Spec Ops: The Line. They were all very exciting to me, all for very different reasons! Which I won't elaborate on. HAH! Take that! But what is game? How is game formed? It's a game.

You should probably play it, because that is not my experience at all. I agree and I agree. I had typed a long thing before, but you summed it up nicely.
