Where the feds can get to it?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!

I don't know what that tweet means. What's the story there?

I've tried the Enforcer and the changes do help. I think the class might even be half-way useful now as a support character. Will have to try!

Architecture Student attempts video game (hilarity ensues)
Lu replied to Karimi's topic in Video Gaming
Like, a splash screen actually when the game is already running? I'm not really a Unity expert, but what I would do is start with a scene that has the splash graphic and do what you want to do like fade in or fade out. Then use the loadnextlevel thing. Just make sure that scene is first in the list in the build menu. Maybe I'm making stuff way more complicated than it needs to be, so if there is a better way, I would like to know as well. If it's a splash screen as you're loading the game, then I don't know! -
No. Rain had to be risked and the screaming was a necessity for survival. Risk of Rain, some stay dry and others feel the pain.

80 euro's!! Fuck off! I mean, not you, Razer, I mean. Although, now that I think about it... If that new Valve controller was 80 euro's, I'd probably buy it..............

There's also the 360 Wireless controller for PC that comes with the dongle as a pack in; did they discontinue that as well? Though from what I've seen, it seems to be relatively easy to still buy the dongle from various online stores. My guess is they want you to stop buying the 360 controller for PC and start buying the Xbox One controller for PC, for which they can coincidentally sell you a new dongle, since they're doing another proprietary bullshit thing. Yay!

Give it a few years, when a super high res version of the Oculus Rift allows you to experience it in a theater again!

My hopes and dreams! Crushed!! THANKS FOR RUINING CHRISTMAS, VALVE! I mean, ALL HAIL VALVE, the saviours of PC gaming! I think 2014 is going to be a wonderful year!

Well, go watch this Quick Look, maybe!

It's quite simple and clever. You see it in certain restaurants too, that have purposefully uncomfortable seating so you don't stick around for too long after a meal. Gotta turn them tables!

From what I heard of it so far, Elijah Wood is doing a pretty great job voicing the boy character.

That trailer looked great! I wonder if this is gonna end up on Early Access and if they'll be iterating on it over time. If there's enough structure there, I'd definitely be up for that!

It's why I stopped setting up a Christmas tree at home. Got so sick and tired of finding dead bodies under there on Christmas mornings.

Yea, I didn't think McHale was that bad. I think it was more a production issue. When the guy was not on script, he seemed a lot more relaxed and normal then when reading from the prompter. What I personally found incredibly annoying was the developers that showed up for a talk about nothing "OOH! MARKETING OPPORTUNITY! Yea, we're still working on this video game thing you already knew about and here's 5 seconds of new footage. Now let's talk for 5 minutes how amazing and great everything is." If you have nothing substantial to say, why are you even there? Too much fluff and just kind of out of place for an award show, I think. That reminds me, for a show that is about the best games of the year, why the hell are they not talking to the developers of said games? The games are out, so they can actually talk about potentially interesting stuff. For some contrast, compare Remedy's Quantum Break bit/Tomb Raider bit with the No Man's Sky bit. The latter is what I would personally want more of. The former can fuck off.

I dreamt that Phil Fish, now going under the name Phil Friend, was doing hardware reviews of custom gaming handhelds. This time in particular the 360DS; a 360 in the form of a DS. A lot of very strange things in that dream. Phil Friend's Hardware Reviews being one of them.

Man, the PC multiplayer of that game is the most fun I've had with a multiplayer game in such a long time. I still think someone should spin that off and make an Unreal Tournament-esque package out of that whole thing. That'd be amazing!

What the hell is VGX?

Gotta say that was one of my favorites too despite the disadvantage being mine. I so deserved that, hahahaha.

Out of the 42.000 stars they looked at. "We find that 22% of Sun-like stars harbor Earth-size planets orbiting in their habitable zones." That's a lot! http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2013/10/31/1319909110

The game starts you off at Very Easy mode, then as time passes a little bar fills and after a few minutes it goes into Easy mode. Then Normal, then Hard, then Very Hard, then Insane and then there are like 5 more difficulty levels. It becomes a matter of how long you stick around a certain level to grind some XP before you move on to the next one. It's pretty cool. And you're welcome dibs.
