Prepare for trackball annihilation. In that I will be annihilated because I'm playing with a trackball.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS

I hadn't seen this posted here yet, but Naughty Dog did release a statement a few days ago. -
Very ambitious! Very cool. Gonna be really curious to see how it progresses. What made you want to make this, beyond that you (probably) love fighting games?
-
That's awful, subbes. You'll all be in my thoughts as well.

That's not my recollection of the events... I think if you read back the discussion on the first couple of pages, it was progressing pretty amicably up to the point where Aaron made a rather snide comment. There was a person that flat out called Levine an idiot, but other than that it was just wondering out loud what could have happened, and whatnot. My point is, I don't know what train you're talking about aside from the one you boarded and rode all the way to tiresome-lets-talk-in-circles town. (I'm jesting! i.e. not trying to start something.) For the record, I agreed with a bunch of your points, but it came across as uh.. aggressively making your point? It felt really out of tone to me compared to the discussion I was reading before that. Also not implying that you're the only one to blame for that, but contributed, yes. I can't speak for others, but it certainly rubbed me the wrong way.

I got one of those, actually. Except with red cherry switches. I really like it, although the wrist support (if you even use it) is way too low and angled to be useful, I actually got a separate wrist rest for my keyboard just today, which works a lot better for me. But yea, it's nice and clean, not too many frills and types like any good mechanical keyboard does.

Yes, yes and YEEEEEEEEESSS. Somewhere I had kind of hoped that they'd be working on new IP, but I'm fine with this too. It can wash away the mediocrity of Arkham Origins.
-
Yup! Really enjoying the frequent updates they do. Also really looking forward to the dogfighting module release. I hope it's good.

Yes. Essentially that. -

You can always rent a license for Max or Maya for the month that you're working on finishing whatever you're working on. Which comes down to about 200 bucks for a month. So that's an option if you want to keep it completely legal. -
Hahaha, I didn't even know you were in first place! You just kept respawning and passing me and when Patters asked if I were hunting you down, I thought... SURE, WHY NOT?

I do very much hope so! I've been wanting the games industry to be more transparent for a long time now, so it's quite refreshing and awesome to see how Double Fine is doing it. I actually read an interesting article on gamasutra recently that related to the same thing.

When I restart the game after my 2nd death, it doesn't actually refresh the game screen and I'm stuck on that 2nd death, even though I can hear the game playing in the background.

Hear, hear. Here's dumb story. When I first visited the States, I landed in Boston. Took that day to sight-see the city. Irrational had been renamed to 2K Boston at the time, yet that didn't stop me, my friend and his wife from going to the Irrational office lobby, posing and taking pictures next to the Irrational Games name plate (it had remained unchanged) like a bunch of dweebs. Shit, here come game developer looking dudes! Act natural! The pictures came out horribly thanks to the shiny placard and moving camera, but hey, now I have this dumb story.

Great initiative, voxn! Definitely keep it up.
