  1. Laughing Thumbs: Stand-Up Recommendations

not a podcast, but I've really enjoyed The Meltdown, comedy central show based on a LA comedy venue.
  2. Laughing Thumbs: Stand-Up Recommendations

Couple off the top of my head: Kristen Schaal - Live at the Filmore - Pure absurdity, not really traditional stand up, very theatrical. Kurt Braunohler - How do I Land? - he's in the above special too actually, they both love absurdity though this is pure stand up. Maria Bamford - Special Special Special - She performs for only her parents, in her living room. Having been watching much as of late, more attracted to absurd alt comedy, usually in podcast form but not always.
  3. you have to reflect the arrow before it explodes into dragon time, but yes, genji can reflect pretty much every projectile. I remember being very shocked when I reflected tracer's sticky bomb on to her face and killing myself because I didn't comprehend what just happened.
  4. Barkley Shut up and Jam: Gaiden is still the best use of the Quad City DJs. It's cannonical.
  5. Other podcasts

Been listening to Pistol Shrimps Radio, if you want to hear absurdist women's basketball game commentary from guys who know little to nothing about basketball, this is your jam. They're also putting out a documentary about the team. Commentary is done by Matt Gourley and Mark McConville of Superego.
  6. Enjoying all the neat interactions of abilities. Was defending a point as Reinhardt, an enemy D.VA flew her robot in for self-destruct, was able to grab it and charge it out of the point, sacrificing myself for the team. All it needed was some sort of heroic, yet somber music to go along with it. Genji's reflect is hilarious at the amount of things it works on and I love having weird air duels with Pharah as him. On that note a Pharah had knocked me off a ledge, she thought I was falling to my doom, but I latched on to the wall and climbed up, then stabbed her in the back for the kill.
  7. My above comment was my only bad chat experience. More often I've had positive experiences. One particular match it was just a love fest both within team and with the other team, was pretty cool.
  8. Someone told me how I sucked a whole lot, match ends a few seconds after that, highlight reel is about me. Best feature
  9. Fire means you're on a streak. D.VA(the mech girl), I've seen her completely clean up, her guns are really close range, seems to be about dashing in, unloading, getting out. Then using dash -> ult to clear things up when it's ready.
  10. Thoughts! Really enjoying my time with this. Enjoy the mashup of characters being designed Lords Management-like while gameplay is more akin to tf2. Enjoy it much more than say monday night combat or battleborn, which kept way more of the lane pushing crap. Enjoy the variety of movement styles as well, whether I'm ninja flipping over the map, or just simply charging people halfway across maps into walls as a giant hammer man.
  11. Worth a shot? My cpu is way below spec but I can play fine somehow.
  12. Life

Yea, while neither school is necessarily top tier they both are fairly well known, was incredibly surreal experience getting the interview requests.
  13. Life

So I just finished my BA in studio art last fall, applied to a couple MFA programs. Shocked to get interviews with both schools, but ultimately didn't get in. Just found out from the last school today, which was a real bummer because for a bit there it was looking pretty good. In this weird bummed out but also looking forward optimistically to the next round knowing that something I'm doing in my work is clearly catching people's attention.
  14. Life

Wrestle them into submission! Doubt you'll have an issue
  15. Life

Weren't you the one who asked me about Sac State like 2 years ago? Either way good luck!
  16. Hyper Light Drifter

I really liked the shotgun for the enemies that crowded you, really useful on the birds too. Also good at one-shotting some enemies. Laser gun was really useful, pretty much how I killed the last boss.
  17. Hyper Light Drifter

    I did east as well
  18. Hyper Light Drifter

    I've had 0 bugs? What's happening?
  19. Hyper Light Drifter

I'm finding the shotgun really useful actually. Pistol was useful on the east boss fight.
  20. Movie/TV recommendations

I took him getting buddy buddy with negascott as a joke, not meant to have thematic consequence. They even ramp up like it's going to be yet another fight. The point was to just build up this big confrontation that just does not happen.
  21. Fantasy Finale XV

They needed to at least show off one real battle. The big bad at the end pretty much melted to fire effortlessly. Even when meleeing him I never felt any danger or need for strategy
  22. Fantasy Finale XV

In many ways I felt like I was playing a third person action game from 10 years ago, random collect-a-thon junk and fairly loose targeting. For a demo it felt pretty weak because there's just barely anything going on in the game, it's mostly a tutorial. Kind of amused that carbuncle was texting you though.
  23. Fantasy Finale XV

Don't worry, the demo is crap!
