By far my favorite thing was getting stuck with some really pissy russians that kept screaming "VUNDYING VUT ARE YOU DOING?!" Only because of the accent, in reality I was doing nothing wrong, just the other team made it their mission to not let my tombstone be up for more than 3 seconds.

I tend to just flll to whatever's needed in the game. The only characters I just don't touch are meepo and invoker more or less. I also only really played random draft so I tend to be at the mercy of what's available in the pool. According to dota my most successful heroes are undying, drow, and tiny. I almost never play drow, just had her a lot early on. Hell I don't think I've played any of those in a while.

I'm not talking about matches where there is a slight chance, the matches i'm thinking of are where it's 50 to 15 and no amount of anything is going to get you out. I hate to keep bring up LoL, but that is the game with surrender, I've only ever had legitimately bad players, never had someone just screwing around because "hey it's only 20min till surrender town."

You still need that low to even want to surrender in the first place, just this way that low doesn't eat 15 minutes of my life. I don't think you should be punished for quitting by denying drops, you still played the game. This morning I had a match where we GG'd, the other team still took another ~10 minutes just farming in their jungle for some reason even though we couldn't possibly push back.

That's more or less the LoL style surrender, besides LoL having a 20min timer. Though in LoL the chances to call the vote aren't limited, but there is a time delay between each time you can.

Shield talk: Didn't boromir carry a shield around with him? It's been a long time since I've read the books but I thought whatsherface that hooks up with faramir had one as well, in the very least when fighting the wraith.

ahh I kind of skimmed through what was said, missed what you said. The arguement I've seen most against the surrender option in dota is literally "it's the baby option" which honestly is a bit bs. I consider it usability. People already take the "baby option" sometimes, except instead of the immediacy of a vote we get to wait 5-10 minutes for the match to be over. It doesn't seem like much, except when you're literally stuck doing nothing and making sure you're active enough to not get an abandon. That is not fun.

I kind of meant it both in terms of the other players and development side. I rarely had LoL games end early for no reason, and even when someone does try it and the vote fails they tend to keep playing anyway. I vastly prefer dota in terms of pretty much everything else, I just wish I had the option to forfeit without ruining everyone else's time and getting abandons.

The surrender option is one thing i like in league over dota. For me it's really just respecting people's time. Getting stomped doesn't bother me as long as the winning team actually ends it, but there's been times where they just prolong it as long as they can, that's just not fun.

Handwriting has little to do with artistic talent weirdly enough, I can paint and draw but my handwriting looks like my hand ate the pen and threw it up on the page. Your handwriting is ridiculously neat.
