I'm up for this as well. I have zero game development experience, but I do know some things that might be useful, such as production management of volunteers.

Regarding a metaphor for how Link between Worlds related to Link to the Past, the best example I can think of is Hitchcock's Rear Window to DJ Caruso's Disturbia. They change enough things so that it's not a direct remake, but if you're familiar with the source you still know what part comes next. Also Disturbia as a film is fine, but the fit and finish doesn't come near Hitchcock's film.

My favourite thing to do, if I have the willpower, is to find a breakfast or brunch buffet. Sadly there's almost none in my current town, and the ones that do exist are in hotels, so they have hotel prices.

Yeah, the Wario thing he linked is just a detailed analysis of every single aspect of Wario Land 4, which is far from useless, especially in an academical setting. I've done similar film analysis, but always with a second half of either personal interpertation and analysis or referenses to studies or academic texts that talk about the why's, how's, feelings, etc. But why the zeal? Why is this the only right way to talk about a game, and everything else must be destroyed? -

What a fascinating person! That Wario book looks nuts, I kinda want to spend my weekend going down this rabbithole... -
Oh man, now I want a Sam Greenbriar announcer for Dota 2.

Being bullied because of your gender? Have you tried concealing your identity and not communicating at all?

Yup, it's the K400, and it's great. Really lightweight and small, but has everything you would want from a couch keyboard. I work customer service for an electronics chain, and I recommend it all the time. Beetle Adventure Racing was pretty dope, but doesn't touch Diddy Kong Racing for me. Also, Snowboard Kids.

Holy shit it's huge! Is that the intended size of the CEOs, or would those be even bigger?

For people wanting to lord it up, join the idlethumbs chat channel in game, and post in either the Lords Management Consortium thread in Multiplayer Networking, or in the Steam group with the same name, and ask to join the guild (DOTATODA). I've sent Sean and Brad an email reminding them to tell people to do this, hopefully we get more people to play with soon.

I'm also for smaller CEOs + more art. PS: Subbes you're doing a great job organizing this!

I agree with that guy, toblix. Subbes, can you summarize what we're sending? Right now there's 5 proper paintings in this thread if my count is correct: Jake, Chris, Steve, Allard and Kotick. As I recall Allard & Kotick were gonna be smaller size? How much more would it cost to print a Sean (by Tegan?)? It's kinda weird if we include Jake, Chris, Steve who isn't even there, but not Sean, who works in that office. And if we include a Shitty Breckon, isn't that an even bigger joke on Sean than Nick?

I recently got the 360 controller with a PC dongle , and tried Rogue Legacy with it. I did decidedly worse. The D-Pad on that controller is notoriously bad, and with the analog stick I can't go forward-back-forward fast enough to get the air control the game requires to dodge all the enemies. Jumping, using abilities and especially dashing felt way more natural, but the movement didn't feel right for me.

Incredible work, all artists! Would love to see an artistic depiction of Sean dunking on Obama.

I also came in during the first era of the podcast in 2009. The Thumbs kept me company when I did shitty dish-washing shifts at a restaurant. I would listen read the podcast on loud volume to hear it over the monstrous machine, and the chefs would always ask me what I was laughing about by myself in the back of the restaurant. I first joined the forum to post stupid Photoshops inspired by the episodes, peaking with the Phaedrus poster being posted on the Idle Thumbs front page. Here's to 100 more years!

Oh, definitely. My department at work just had what is looking more and more like a coup, Game of Thrones style, where 4 people lost their jobs.

What did I just read? Wait,so if TotalBiscuit and Obama being popular doesn't lead to them "experts", why is putting degradingly sexualized stuff in a game justified if it sells more? -
Idle Thumbs 141: "I was too busy losing it."

When Sean leaned into the microphone and said "Hello left channel~" in my right ear only, I stopped and checked if my headset was on the right way. -
Oh thank god I thought it was just me.

Hey guys! I was wondering If you guys have received your KS Rewards, I can't find mine!

Well, we understand it's a complicated process. You have to wait for the tests from the digital printer, make sure nobody moved to a new e-mail address, and so on.- 141 replies

I can't recall where who said this, probably a stand-up comedian: It's scary if there's a giant corporation or network controlling everything, but the thought that nobody is in control, and everybody is incompetent is much, much scarier.
