I forgot about that nightmare GIF!

Yesterday was David Lynch's birthday! In tribute, a group of artists released a Twin Peaks "Retro Synth" tribute album. I have not yet listened so I have no idea what I just linked. Also, the Jonathan Rosenbaum reviews I linked in another thread were apparently a lead-up to his article "Twin Peaks Revisited" which he wrote for Spanish magazine Caimán Cuadernos de Cine. It covers the entire series and film and it's nice to know Rosenbaum shares my dislike of (spoiler?) Windom Earle.

There's also one in my unbeloved town of Jersey City, steps away from the Grove Street PATH!

LOL Just before reaching Mom in the Solar System challenge, I picked up a "Question Mark" item. Surprise, it's Guppy's Head! I died nine times against Mom. I guess I'm just ignorant and will have to drill it into my thick head that I don't like Question Marks.

Still haven't re-re-watched this episode, but my favorite film critic Jonathan Rosenbaum recently re-posted his reviews of the pilot and first proper episode of Twin Peaks as well as Fire Walk With Me. He recently completed a re-watch of the series and film and it's interesting to read his 2015 reconsideration of the film:

Steve Gaynor loaded up Far Cry 2 this afternoon and played a bit: http://www.twitch.tv/stevegaynor/c/5910155 I tuned in to see him marvel over God rays and waterfalls before immediately having two jeeps slam into him. I guess people can consider that fun? Then again, I spent the entire day failing the Solar System challenge in The Binding of Isaac Rebirth and I don't consider that fun at all.

The Haunt just doesn't feel like the rest of the Binding of Isaac. There's only one obvious, boring strategy to fighting him. If you're playing with a low-damage character it's just tedious. I just fought two Haunts in a double-wide room. That actually felt like a better fight because of the increased area.

Jake and Chris barely mentioned James's name this episode which was fine by me. He was hilariously sidelined, serving as a straight man for Nadine's antics and got shot down by Maddie.

How did Squiggy end up on this show? EDIT: People Magazine explains why! Davids Lynch and Lander were neighbors! How do people say lines like this with a straight face? On the other hand, it's hard to roll my eyes at anything they make Hawk say because Michael Horse is having a lot of fun in the role.

I can't believe they're outsourcing the boss fights in Firewatch and making it impossible to do a no-kill run.

Random aside: the Videology bar in Brooklyn is doing Twin Peaks Bingo tonight! I am going to try to make it to this. Is anyone around/local? I have no idea what episode they're doing.

This episode has Toad! I love Toad! The sound effects of him eating in the kitchen are kinda gross, though.

Ooh, James Spader! Tuff Turf is on my to-watch list because I like Spader being sleazy.

Just what we've all been asking for! The Elder Scrolls Online The only game I have played all year is Oblivion, yet I share the angtsy sympathies of the Rock Paper Shotgun commentors. It's set a millennium before Skyrim! That means we get to battle against the onset of the Knahaten Flu! I can't wait to pay monthly for this!
