  1. General Video Game Deals Thread

Morphopolis is 95% off on Steam right now, which makes it amazingly cheap. Didn't know about it before and bought it because it looks very pretty and only cost 24 cent*. It is a kind of hidden object adventure in the style of Samorost, indeed very pretty (not unlike Samorost), with insects. Well worth the close to nothing I paid for it. In fact worth a lot more. *Got three of those Steam-cards after playing the game for a bit and sold them for 16 cent right away, which makes me not understand the economics of this card-stuff even more.
  2. Games giveaway

Hey YoThatLimp, if Mass Effect 2 is still up for grabs, I'd take it.
  3. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

Cordeos' link says it is, but what am I doing I think I am arguing about Star Wars on the internet see that's what I mean this teaser what is happening with me I'm scared.
  4. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

HA, you mean the Darksaber that is canon because it has appeared in 'The Clone Wars'?* Oh, that teaser, against better judgement I get excited. Now Disney has eight months to beat that out of me. *I don't know shit about Star Wars, googled 'Darksaber' and saw this.
  5. Project Eternity, Obsidian's Isometric Fantasy RPG

Thanks for the heads up. I'll see whether is runs better now.
  6. Feminism

On his tumblr Raphael Bob-Waksberg talks about 'Gender in Comedy'. I think it's a good read. Kinda internetold, sorry if it's been linked here before.
  7. Project Eternity, Obsidian's Isometric Fantasy RPG

Okay, so basically no options for me to set to 'super low'. Small bummer, but not a big surprise. Anyway, looked great and very much like a Baldur's Gate, even in all its stutteryness.
  8. Project Eternity, Obsidian's Isometric Fantasy RPG

Gosh, my PC will so not be able to handle it, far too old and slow, but it's nice that there is a game for which a care enough that it bothers me. I'm excited (and try to run it anyway, maybe they have ultra-low settings). In some minutes I should know more.
  9. Life

In Austria 'silly' is a word? I did not know that. In Germany it's only English.
  10. Not sure, whether this wasn't posted before. Anyway, amazing and funny. Other videos of this guy as well. And I must have lived under a rock for some time now, as I didn't know the music or the video until yesterday. Great stuff too!
  11. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

    Thanks.
  12. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

While I heard that's how you kill them, could you please explain this one anyway Bjorn. Thanks! (I love the Octodad picture comments.)
  13. Avatar graveyard

2006-2012 Serious to the point of smug, even dead I still want to punch him.
  14. Life

He, rabbit hole indeed. Thanks osmosisch, the first mention by Vorlonesque totally didn't register.
  15. Where in the World - Idle Thumbs Map

I had to put in my adress two times. Now there are two castorps, but one lifes where there are none. The one in Scharnitz (northern Germany) is the imposter, please make him go away, undermind9. Cool thing, this map!
  16. Idle Santa 2014

Thanks tegan for the robot-info. So the little thing's famous. Ha, great. (...that nobody got a heart attack. I think mine stumbled a bit when it happened while watching telly. Some dagger-part even hit the ceiling.) Best regards to your girlfriend N1nja, amazing art! Unpacking I didn't get that the two pieces are by the same artist. The signature reads Moon Garage then. My best guess was something like Nom Garayl.
  17. Idle Santa 2014

I came home on New Years, got my package, opened it, and found this fantastic collection of stuff. The most beautiful wrapping and a wonderful card. N1njaSquirrel’s avatar, a tiny robot that is an Amazon-themed figurine from Japan with glowing eyes, moveable parts and, as far as I can tell, special joints. I have no idea, it’s a little bit creepy looking, I think it’s great. The graphic novel 'Saga', Volume 1. I dig the art style. Then I got Yorkshire Tea that tastes excellent and Jaffa Cakes. In a cardboard tube I found this amazing original piece of art featuring The Binding of Isaac made by Icannotreadthesignature (not by you N1nja, no?)… (I hope it's okay that I uploaded the picture like this. If not, let me know.) …and this great Animal Crossing (I think) poster. Thanks a million N1njaSquirrel, it was really like Christmas opening all those presents, the art will definitely be put up in my flat (and I already know where), the comic will be read, the tea will be drunk and the robot will look at me funny with its soulpiercing eyes. Next year I would very much like to participate again. I hopefully will manage to get together better stuff and actually wrap it. Again, N1nja, thanks for organizing!
  18. Idle Santa 2014

Yeah, no idea neither, silly people with their silly names. Your dagger might be some strange and pelty looking tree seed, which the sender or a related person thought to be a funny thing to include, without knowing that they can suddenly explode in a hilarious and hilariously terrifying startling (but not at all dangerous) fashion. I'm just telling you for a friend. I received my package and it's very very awesome, but I hadn't have time to take pictures yet. I'll post them soon. Thanks a great lot, N1njaSquirrel! Edit: Woah, new baby BigJKO - congrats! (I guess you are related. Is the baby's name LittleJKO?)
  19. Idle Santa 2014

I managed to send my present before I received one. I count that as a win. Sorry.
  20. Idle Santa 2014

It took me too long to get all my gifts together, so the package kind-of-probably won't make it in time for Christmas, I'm sorry.
  21. Life

Wait, what, Argobot and Chris Remo? I'm flabbergasted! (Actually, I've no idea, I'm just drunk.) Congrats!
  22. What are the must-see TV series?

Deadwood, Freaks and Geeks, Community (season 1 & 2, not so sure about the rest), The Wire
  23. Idle Santa 2014

I'm in. The thing with 'stuff that the gifting person thinks is awesome', what Dewar said, yeah, good words! (I'm not very active, but here since forever, and I like presents and presenting. It's all fun and games.)
  24. Feminism

This is all so very depressing. Thanks Thumbs for being a bubble bastion of not-horrible people on the internet. Thanks for the article Nachimir. God this internet, take it you vile people, I'll go look for one that isn't broken. Sierra mentions a Verge article I found to be even a bit uplifting, as it just clearly states (and acknowledges) the assholery and hypocrisy of people involved, and kind of gives a small silver lining.
