All these VR things only give a weirder disconnect between the games and reality. Just imagine doing a running jump on the Omni, or a double jump for that matter. This does solve the problem with the OcculusRift w.r.t. to turning your body towards the direction you're looking at. It's cool nonetheless.

FYI, installing a custom ROM isn't rooting. If you can get access to the bootloader and install a different OS without abusing software flaws then it's not rooting.

1. Pick an android phone which is open. Phone manufacturer are notoriously bad in supporting their hardware. If you want your phone to move along for a couple of years you will have to resort to custom ROMs. Phones that do not require dirty hacks to access them completely are therefor better. Google Nexus devices are generally well supported by Google itself. A good way to find "open" phones is to check the latest supported CyanogenMod levels for phone: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Devices#type=%22phone%22,%22phone%20%28slider%29%22;cmversions=%2210.1%22; Most phones that are listed are open, some require some special steps to unlock the phone (i.e. execute some commands and say "yes I know this will void warranty"). Having an "open" android phone can extend its life quite a few years. 2. I don't know, I don't play games on phones.

Thomas was alone Interesting concept of a minimalistic puzzle game with a story running besides it. I think the puzzles were crafted and paced perfectly. There were a few annoying levels (I hating forced scrolling). But overall I never reached the point of "ugh... more of these puzzles". The change in puzzles always came at the right time. Also the way the new game mechanics were introduced was great. The only tutorial parts were for moving, jumping and double jumping. All the other stuff came naturally.

My steam hour/game ratio is wrong because I have games listed on steam which I never played via steam. For example, I've played the Wallace & Gromit and Back to the Future games before I received them via the the humble bundle. Also game I played which are now listed on steam but I didn't play : AaaaAaaaa etc., and yet it moves, bioshock, borderlands, braid, broken sword 1, 2, 3, 4, commander keen, crayon physics deluxe, darwinia, doom 1,2,3, heretic, hexen 1, 2, mirror's edge, max payne 1, 2, multiwinia, on the rain slick precipice of darkness, oddworld, quake 1, 3, jedi knight 1, 2, 3, 4, dark forces, syberia 1, 2, trine, wolfenstein 3d, the wonderful end of the world. So of the 300 games steams lists on my profile, quite some I've played for a couple of hours (or much more) but have zero hours listed. About 150 of them received at least 0.5 hours of attention on steam.
