Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers Interesting game. However, it's a real pain in the ass to cope with the physics. It doesn't help than the controls are everything except smooth. No save mechanism, just arbitrary checkpoints. The world has arbitrary rules, some stuff cane be cut, some cut stuff can't be moved. The funky often badly responsive controls don't help during the parts where timing is vital.

Beez. wait, what are we doing?

So it's even worse. You can get duplicate card drops while playing games. I've now got 2 hansom jack cards.

Idle Thumbs 110: The Thing That You Needed To Say

I'm pretty sure the devs/pubs pay for the servers for multiplayer games (when a server is actually needed). Quite some console games use a P2P network rather than the more Client/Server model which traditionally was used by PC games (most FPS, RTS games also used P2P). -
You work in a cube? By any chance, is Molyneux your boss?
-
This is relevant to my interest. Hopefully it will contain: - less red sewers - less tedious decoding puzzles - more lore

They are probably using a neural network. It takes a lot of effort to un-train a neural network. You have the most influence in the early generations of a network, but I'm sure they have been training the network for months already during playtesting. So I doubt griefers will have a lot of impact.

But not the games for which I already have a copy. So I will have to pay again to play the games I already paid for.

According to Joystiq the F2P on PS4 doesn't require PS+ http://www.joystiq.com/2013/06/12/playstation-plus-price-not-changing-video-services-dont-requir/ -

World of Tanks is coming to xbone, and that's a pure multiplayer game. It is free to play, sort of, considering you need a xbonel gold. -
xbone is essentially a Video game timebomb

Sure, but I was basing my estimations on data used by PC games. But it looks like I'm a bit off. Max Payne 3 is 30GB (this sounds wrong), Rage 21GB, Skyrim (with a bunch of high res mods) 17.5GB, Bioshock Infinite 17GB, Arkham City 16GB, L.A. Noire 13GB, Mass Effect 3 12GB Other games are between 5 and 10GB: Saints Row 3, Spec Ops, Alan Wake, Borderlands 2 (all dlc), BrutalLegend, Darksiders 2, Deus Ex HR, Metro 2033, Bioshock 2. The rest <5GB. So, I think between 10 and 20GB would be considered "normal" for "next gen" console installs, with a bunch going over 20GB. At 35MB/s max transfer rate for a 6 speed BluRay player that would be quite some install time, I wonder what the console fanbois think of that

What service is Sony actually providing for free? You mean the avatars, instant messaging, cheevos? Matchmaking? That's often run by devs/publishers. Patches for defective products? Don't I already pay for that when I buy games? Steam isn't charging me any money to use Steam.
-
But the PS4 is going to require PSN+ for multiplayer!? I'm not going to pay a shit load of money just to have a new Journey experience.

I can only assume you're posting this wearing wooden shoes.

Games will be much smaller because you don't need to duplicate content. Currently a lot of content is stored multiple times on the disc in order to reduce seeking (which is really really slow). I don't think you'll see installs much larger than 10GB.
-
don't forget that MS is also investing in indies: they're bringing Minecraft to xbone.
-
PSN users also received 2 games a while ago.

The most exciting game was "Nick and Remo: Zombie smackdown 5"

Well, this sucked. Completed the first 2 levels, then it crashed on the 3rd level. Lost all my progress. The idea is interesting, the execution not that much. If only it had a proper save system. It really sucks to be put back and the worst possible point when you fall of a ledge and die. Spend, 10 minutes building a stairs, and you can restart from the beginning.

In most of Europe any terms defined after the product has been paid for are void. I've never been presented a contract, or additional terms, when buying software in a store. And a contract is still an agreement between 2 named entities. Pretty much no EULA, or similar, I've seen names me, so it simply cannot be a contract. Besides this all, it's very difficult for any company to take away rights that were explicitly granted by law. Maybe this is different in Canada, I don't know.

Ah, so it's like volume sliders.

A lease contract is a contract between 2 named entities. (and quite often you can sell a lease contract) A software license is not a contract. (but there are software contracts)

Little Inferno You burn stuff, and discover combos by burning combinations of things. It's just useless fun of burning stuff. ... and then there's this weird ending ...
