  2. I never had any problems with the powersaving of WD greens. The disks do spin down fast (but do keep spinning) and I think they don't go faster than 5400rpms. But of course this could have changed a lot with newer versions. If you're going to use it for games I'd suggest to use Blacks. You could go for Blues which are like Green except that they run at a constant speed, but they don't come in 2TB yet. Note, WD green is now part of the WD blue line, and for some reason they do mention RPMs for the greens, but I doubt they have a fixed RPM now. If it spins at 7200rpm it's a real blue, otherwise it might be converted green. (There were also 5400 blues). The largest blue is WD10EZEX which is only 1TB. The difference between green and black can be as much at 50% for 2TB. For 1TB this is blue and green are somewhat the same price (black is still 50%). If you have a soft-raid like most Intel motherboards have you could opt to do a RAID0 with 2x1TB Blue which is about 20% more expensive than a 2TB green disk and you will suffer a small performance hit. Then again, maybe the newer GreenBlue disks are better than the Greens rohfinator used, as they no longer mention strong powersaving features.
  3. A working one. I always go for WD for HDDs. And usually the green for normal stuff, red for nas. I used to get black for speedy disks, but now I do SSD for that. I've never had any good experience with Seagate.
  4. 2015's Games of the Year?

so I guess they learned a lot of Evoland 1, as that was quite bad.
  5. Do you have favorite game mount?

PCJ-600 if probably my favorite. It's quite fast and limber. It is also quite descent in climbing more sloped locations.
  6. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

It's a bit weird to call Morrowind the odd man out. Before Morrowind there was only Daggerfall and Arena and with Morrowind they were going into a different direction: completely designed world. Daggerfall was so huge that fast travel was the only option. I'm pretty sure they wanted to keep the feeling of a large world in Morrowind even though in fact it is so tiny compared to the world of Daggerfall (0.01% in fact). Removing fast travel directly makes the world larger because it takes time to go anywhere, but also forces people to explore the world. Being forced to walk to a specific location in order to travel faster isn't that much of a chore as there are quite a few possibilities: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:FullMap_TravelRoutes.png And for the rest, learn the teleportation spells. But for there rest, try these tips: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Transport#Hiking

Steamspy is useful for this. For example M&MH7: http://steamspy.com/app/321960 And Tomb Raider: http://steamspy.com/app/203160 both confirmed price changes
  8. 2015's Games of the Year?

Fallout 4 is by far my GOTY of the year. 148 hours on record and I'm still not bored to play it. Other great games of this year would be: Tales from the Borderlands. Even if you don't like Borderlands this can be a fun telltale story. Sunset, my favorite walking simulator of this year. Just Cause 3 is missing from this list, because even though I bought it at release I haven't played it yet (due to Fallout 4).
  9. Hexcells Hexcells Hexcells Squarecells

the third one has some really long puzzles with a lot of hexes. Too easy to make more than ne mistake.
  10. General Video Game Deals Thread

They took all the fun out of steam sales. Now the only meta game is going on is trying to get a working connection to the store front to buy games.

  14. Movie/TV recommendations

Nothing on Justin Lin is track record says Star Trek. It's just 4 Fast & Furious movies and a bunch of shorts. Do JJ and this Justin even know what Star Trek is? We should give JJ more scifi stuff to ruin. He should make a Stargate and X-Files movie next.

that doesn't look like Star Trek

    Independencer Day
  18. Also played it. It was ok (but it was free so it's good). If this is a teaser for what Crows^3 has in store, then I'm looking forward to it. The game wasn't as extensively set up to allow breaking it as Stanley was (i.e. doing this before you even know you can).
  19. Fallout 4 — Boston Makes Me Feel Good

I don't have any performance issues. So it's just AMD. Architecture Managed Devices.
  20. Fargo (TV series)

The goofiness of season 1 is more like the movie.
  21. Full Throttle Remastered

That image is rubbish. The lighting is all wrong, there's just one 60Watt light bulb, yet the reflection ... wait a minute, I'm not Ben.
  22. Fargo (TV series)

Ok then. I like season 2, it's much much different from season 1 though (which I also liked). It's way more violent.
