Why is there a waiting period?

I never played a saints row game, and at some point I picked up Saints Row 3 for some reason. I think it's was a steam sale. Either way, after only playing a few minutes I was hooked. I like the "dumb humor" and the whole over the top action in the game. It also offers the same "just fucking around" playability which Just Cause has. After SR3 I tried SR2, SR2 was much more like a mixed between GTA3 and VC, it was still fun to played, but I had way more fun messing around in SR3. I'm really looking forward to SR4. The gameplay and the controls of SR3 are really solid and polished.

But how long will it take for Carmack to become bored again?

Papo & Yo A short "game", although it's more of a interactive story. I think it's a story about a kid and his abusive/drunk father, and it plays in the imaginative world of the kid. It's a platform game with platformy puzzles. The puzzles are usually quite simple and involve nothing more than hitting some switches. At some point there are a bunch of levels/puzzles that involve timing and running away from the monster. This is extremely annoying because the monster is blocking your view. There's one puzzle which complete resets itself when the monster gets you, I had to retry that a bunch of times. The way the world geometry changes by the puzzles is quite cool (think of inception like changes). I picked it up during the Steam sale, so I had about 1 euro per hour of fun (takes about 3 hours to complete the game).

Well... the same to you buddy. That's what I thought just a moment ago. No idea in what context.

PC Peripherals Question/s & (hopefully) Answers

I rarely use the back and forward thumb buttons when gaming. I'm used to pressing keys on my keyboard. I used to use esdf giving me more key access. But I switched back to wasd because modern games didn't use that much keys, and remapping everything was often a pain. -

I use a Logitech M500 at home and at work. I have never used an expensive game mouse, not really see the point in them. All that matters if the sensitivity (still need to fix my skeets, but current games don't rely on perfect twitching). -
SE is with the warlock and the cathedral at the end right? The part where the weather turns and the meteor shower starts is one of the best game moments ever.

Well... that was fun The last level was classically Serious Sam. My credit roll at the end was cut short in a rather weird way. I suddenly fell to the ground, while the credits where rolling, on the ground I was met by a red mech who shot me in the face, instantly killing me and sending me back to the menu.

what!?... I put so much effort into getting to this point in SS3... just kidding. Anyway, I'm up for it. So if there's more people we could just leave Lu behind, otherwise we just reschedule.

Tomb Raider I just finished it. It's pretty much a Uncharted, but with Lara Croft. It also has the same bad elements like the part where you have to run, and when you fuck up just once you have to retry it. And enemies popping up in closed off and clear areas. It also has a bunch of annoying QTEs. The shooting part wasn't as annoying as with Uncharted, because I used a mouse and keyboard. It was pretty much >50% head shots. The game didn't had a lot of puzzles, which is a shame. Most puzzles were confined to optional tombs. And besides the optional tombs, there was not a lot of tomb raiding going on. I was just murdering a whole island and emptying their pockets. As usual the level design was rather spoiling, it was always clear that a fight was coming up because of the chest high walls and ammo. I think it's best to ignore the whole character development of Lara, it's just plain weird. Suddenly you're a weapon smith, and mass murderer. Ah well... Just like with the Uncharted games, I wish there was more exploring, puzzles and archeology.

This is my view, although I rarely look at it. But today was a good day, sunny not too hot, and I finally have garden chairs (although I use them on my balcony)
