  1. Idle Explorers (Spelunky, um, thumbs)

Accidentally attacked a shop keeper with a boulder. But I managed to escape them for a couple of levels. Alas my archenemy, the spike trap, killed me. I did an additional run after the challenge and found out what a tiki trap is :/

I did much better than yesterday (couldn't actually do much worse though). Level 1-3 got me, way too much enemies in one place.

You know those spikes in the first level, below the entrance? I jumped on them.
  13. So a kickstarter for a sequel. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1559170459/the-7th-guest-3-the-collector I'm not sure. I enjoyed the 11th hour, a new series of puzzles of proper difficulty would be great I guess.
  14. Idle Explorers (Spelunky, um, thumbs)

I did quite well today, reached 1-4. I tried to catch a firefly but missed the jump and fell in front of an arrow trap. I should have defused the trap before I try to mess around it.

  17. Idle Explorers (Spelunky, um, thumbs)

Ugh... some day I will get better. I knew I was getting killed, but I just had to try to make the jump.

  19. Movie/TV recommendations

It only works for directors who have, and execute, an explicit style. There are not a lot of directors who's oeuvres have an overall style. For example: Coen Bros., David Cronenberg, Takashi Miike, or John Carpenter But if you take directors like Ridly Scott, Luc Besson, James Cameron, ... they make great movies, but they don't execute explicit style in all their movies.
  20. Building a home theater...

For irregular rooms 5.1 works best for movies, or at least when you "tune" each individual speaker. 7.1 is better, but it requires space behind your couch. A quality stereo setup is awesome for music, and works equally great for movies in cinema like rooms. Stereo relies a lot on sound reflection, where with 5.1 you can better tune volume of each speaker. But be aware that you can only tune it for a small listening area.

  24. I thought it was Life+70. Eitherway, it's there for the benefit of the copyright owner, not the creator.
