Deponia is ok. (I still have to finish the 2nd game). I liked the "A New Beginning" and "Chains of Satiniva" games more. But that's mostly theme/story related as the gameplay is mostly the same in all those adventure games.

... ... ... That would clearly be a River City Ransom like game. Talking about racing. There hasn't been a Gumball or Cannonball game. Although Racing USA or Racing World comes close.

French is easy. 50% of it is just being arrogant

Why do you want to create a shit game!? Calvin And Hobbes ... yeah I have some vague brainfarts for that. It would be a game with a "mood" switch. You can switch between real life, or Calvin's fantasy live where Hobbes is alive. You'll have to switch between moods to solve the "issues".

This weeks Humble Weekly Bundle is Daedalic Ent.: https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly It's a German adventure game company, their games are quite enjoyable. All the games I've played are "3rd generation" adventure games, and with that I mean, purely mouse based with either view or action commands (and inventory combinations) (1st generation = text; 2nd generation is 9 commands; 2.5 generation is command wheel)

Trasngression!? It's called a "typo", those letters are right next to eachother.

Oh right, them. That makes much more sense

I'm not sure how to read this. You mean the chrismas tree? Or a search through the MIMIX OS!?

Idle Explorers (Spelunky, um, thumbs)

I cannot find a deadzone configuration feature. So I guess I'll have to live with it. The problem is that I let the stick lose to let it return to the center. Because of physics it will bounce a bit to the other side before returning to the actual center. And this tiny change is enough for the game to face the other way. -
I would definitely make a game based on the Storm comic book. It would probably be a third person action game with a lot of adventure and exploring elements. Or maybe a Elder Scroll like RPG set in the world, and then you would probably not be any of the 3 main characters. Exploring a world like this or this would simply be amazing.

So I've read the next 2 episodes today: "De Navel van de Dubbele God" and "De Bronnen van Marduk". Unlike the spinoff I previously mentioned the art feels pretty much like Lawrence himself. All the little details in the crazy world design are still there and with the same drawing and coloring style. So I think Storm is doing well these days with the new team.

I'm using analog stick. But I fear my deadzone is not proper as I often turn to the left. -
Isn't that more or less government mandated after a couple of serious health incidents in Korea? Like what? Hit & Run was really good, both as game and as Simpsons universe.

I didn't survive the spider level. My archenemy, the spiketrap, got me again. -
Am I looking as the song text of that Rick Astley song?

So next-gen is less brown?

The workflow seems flawed. You can go to "open" or "in progress"!? How are those mutually exclusive?

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS
elmuerte replied to Henroid's topic in Video Gaming
I hope Avalanche owns Just Cause. Then again, I don't really care about the name or "story", it's just the gameplay I like. Eidos does own the rights to Anachronox. So we can forget about ever seeing a sequel to that. (Unless its going to be a MMOG, but chances are higher it will be a DXMMORPGHD). -

I use Open Broadcast with file output. I let it render to 1.5x reduction in resolution (so 1280x800 in my case) and max 2kbit. This produces 113MiB for about 7,5 minutes of gameplay. -
I just read the last Storm by Don Lawrence. It was weird with the real life links that were introduced (i.e. "Google Pandavre" search). I don't really like the Neumann story line, it is a bit of a mess, but luckily it's over now. I wonder what "De Navel van de Dubbele God" will bring, hopefully it will be more self contained episodes as before. I also read "De Banneling van Thoem", this one is by a completely new team. The artwork is ok, except for the faces which seem weird. The art itself looks polished/smudged, but not as terrible as these modern computer drawn comics. They story was mediocre, its based on some classic Greek mythology. So I can't tell yet now Storm is doing post-Lawrence, but I will find out this week. But it looks like the comic is quite active again, for the past 6 years they have been releasing a new comic pretty much every year.

Yep, same here: English. Best example I can recall would be from LBA: "Go clobber a clone". Had to look up what "clobber" meant.

My almost-complete Storm collection arrived today. I'm only missing "The Dallas Paradox" as hardcover, because the Don Lawrence Collection didn't have that one so I will have to look for that one somewhere else. Either way, I have a lot of catching up to do because I never read any of the non-Lawrence Storm comics.
