Yes, It's all Stephen King. If asking for King-like, the best answer is usually King-like. Note, I said 3rd ending. There are 3 different endings, and there's only 1 good one (if you've seen it, you know which one I mean). King isn't always nice to the main character(s).

yep... no doubt about that. Was good knowing you.

Nope, nope, nope. 1408 (the 3rd ending) is closer to The Mist. Rose Red is also good.

It's not just the greed, there's also the other elements. But a large part is the is indeed the greed, wanting rewards without action. I think everybody should pull their weight. No freebies. The Netherlands has a safety net, if you are unemployed you will get an income. When you are just fired you will earn a percentage of your last earned salary for a while. After that you will fall back to a basic income. Besides this basic income you can apply for additional breaks given your circumstances. This overcomplicated mechanism is so awesome that you can have a higher income by not working that you get when you have a low payed job. So at a certain point there is little incentive to contribute to society. This shitty system of rules exists, it has existed for a very long time, it has undergone many many many changes. Yet, the shitty overcomplicated rule system exists. It exists, because people earn a living by creating and maintaining this system. My main issue is with "entitlement". You're not.

Won't work. Here's why: 1) People are greedy power-hungry lazy assholes who don't want to carry responsibilities 2) see 1 I truly believe the world would be a better place if people would not have to worry about housing and food. (Screw money) The Netherlands, and a lot of countries, already have a system of basic income. It's there. (in some cases you're better off not working and getting this "basic income"). The problem is that this basic income mechanism is costing more money than they are handing out due to the bureaucracy. Kill this bureaucracy and you get a actual basic income mechanism. But there's still problem #1. People on this basic income want more, they feel they are entitled to more because they have become accustomed to the basic income and see people with more income having more.

I can't believe it myself either, that's why I said something like "I should have gotten that jetpack" -

Rise of the Triad (2013) Warning: this game isn't for everybody. It's a remake of the 1995 game and the gameplay is more or less the same. So you run really fast, enemies are plentiful and dumb. You've got limited health, etc. Even though it's the same gameplay it does feature "modern" FPS element. You can jump, mouse aiming is vital. So, it's a remake of the 1995 game, and it starts out as an actual remake. The first level is pretty much an exact copy of the original game's first level. After that it starts changing a lot and once you reach the first boss the levels have little resembles of the original game, they do share names. The style also changes. The 1995 game had a lot of large open areas, in the remake this has been reduced quite a lot. None the less, the levels do have a ROTT vibe to them. The weapons are mostly the same. Some of them received a secondary mode. For example, the flamewall allows you to shoot hot shrapnel, and the drunk missle has the option to simply shoot the rockets in high velocity without heat seeking. The boss battles have changed the most. Also, there are mini bosses. I finished the game on normal, in most cases the levels can be completed without dying, except for the various platforming elements with instant kill. The boss battles are may more difficult and usually take a lot of tries until you get lucky enough to survive. The thing I hated most about the remake it the god awful "humor". It's really really horrible. For example, you encounter a mini boss at some point which does a constant bad Arnold impression. The game is rather short. There are 4 times 5 levels, each episode has a secret level which is mostly harmless (except the Vomitorium). In the original the episodes had 7 levels and a secret level which was challenging, the last episode was 10 levels long. The levels are much smaller than the original, and also much less complex. The music in the game is a remake of the original sound track with more added metal, but you can also opt for the original midi music (not actual MIDI, but same sound). Anyway... I liked playing the game. ps, the Vomitorium in the remake starts like the original Vomitorium, but instead of fighting the NME you have to complete a really insane obstacle course. After a lot of attempts (and quicksaving) I managed to complete it.

The biggest question is of course, Miffy, were you able to drive your car through the door?

I enjoyed this seed. A lot of things to do. I also did quite well until I killed myself with my new toy. Second time in the temple, and decided to learn stuff. -
going to print that out and frame it

Why not? It's a baby game after all.

ffs.. I was called during my daily run (annoying standby). Anyway, I hit myself in the face 3 times with the same rock in 1-3 or something. Eitherway, I recovered, I bought the surprise package and received the jetpack. I decided to apply Nachimir's tactics and hit the black market. The first level of the black market went ok, the second level didn't. The damn shopkepers wouldn't leave. Anyway, I died there. Better luck next time I guess. Anyway, no video yet because I need to edit it. -

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube
elmuerte replied to pabosher's topic in Idle Banter
He should have started with "I make over the top dumb action and explosion filled movies which are highly enjoyable. The curved screen puts you right in the middle of this awesomeness." it would have been much better. I like Bay's movies for what they are (but the Transformers movies are quite bad). I am looking forward to Bad Boys 3. -
from what game is that?

I've been having that issue for a while now. Also, the /home page is getting way too crowded for me.
