Why BG&E failed - written by an UbiSoft PR employee
elmuerte replied to Marek's topic in Video Gaming
Yeah in that aspect other games are much easier to explain. Explain the first part of the game and "the rest of the game is pretty much like it". nah.. in psychonauts every level gives you a complete new and exciting experience. -

Ok.. then about about: * an italian plumber saving a princess * an orange blob absorbing stuff * some weird little guy with a sticky ball * some space marine surrounded by complete darkness * ... you can dumb everything down to something that doesn't sound interesting -
Why BG&E failed - written by an UbiSoft PR employee

Maybe, but not a lot game-wise. I don't like the "why <game> failed". It makes you wonder, what was the game suposed to do? What did it fail to accomplish. Most articles like this should be "Why <game> didn't sell well". The only thing I think where BG&E was the last part, it fealt rushed to and end. Maybe because the action became way more dense. -

"How to Become a Better Videogame Journalist"
elmuerte replied to SpiderMonkey's topic in Video Gaming
Text should be to the point without too much use of expensive and/or buzzwords. Online articles that span multiple pages should be burned (unless it's a very long article). Screw banner impressions. If you want be to turn of my ad-block you shouldn't force me to view a lot of ads. Also articles should be well constructed, if the first paragraph doesn't capture my interest I will not read the rest. -
it's an ut2004 mod, looks very interesting... at least something very different

since my current phone is a windows mobile phone and since there's a scummvm for it yes, play games quite often. But it is quite difficult to play the scumm games on your phone.

Naming cats is somewhat useless, it's not like they listen to it.

in that case I'll vote for NO, with war and oppression I at least know that to expect. Peace and justice, specially the latter, are way to vage and can be misused (e.g. chip every human to preserve peace and justive, ofcourse get rid of freedom). One's peace and justice is another's war and oppression. So NO, then everybody will suffer. oh wait... or shouldn't I respond to spam and\or propaganda? I keep forgetting that.

maybe I know, maybe I don't... it's too warm to remember... what was a kult rpg again? does it have anything to do with a rocket propelled grenade? talking about torrents... who's that guy behind that wreck in the header image?

not only that, I'm also in front of the MBN As for the third, unless something really weird happens there will only be a worthwhile 3rd episode. (Really werid would be something like: the IP being sold to EA who will then create a sequel)

What do you think will happen in the middle east?
elmuerte replied to Carlius's topic in Idle Banter
It still is post 9/11. And I don't see what this has to do with a non-English speaking nation. I live in a non-English speaking nation. And why would there be anything of worth in this thread. Subjects like this are only fuel for flamewars. -
Playing LBA1 and recording the whole game.

I didn't vote

Family guy has it's moments, but they often resort to cheap shots, but still the style is completely different and I don't think you can compare it to the simpsons. Just because they both are animated doesn't make them compareable. Anyway... the simpsons just don't have a lot of playroom left. Family Guy doesn't have a lot of playroom either given it's in present space. Family Guy often uses other stories as it's base (e.g. movies or tv series). They could go the south park way (e.g. make the world they live in even more rediculous). Futurama simply has a lot of freedom since it's in the future.

they are still fun but no longer funny that's why Futurama was supposed to replace it

pff.... they only had about 340 adventures
