while looking for a scan of the stonekeep book I found this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0425170659/102-4673663-0980963?v=glance&n=283155 now I'm puzzled... there was a sequel to Stonekeep!? Some nice printed additionals to the manual of some games: Crusader No Remorse news letter Crusader No Regret news letter Gabriel Knight 3 comic Stonekeep book (120p) (wasn't bothered to find a scanner) Also went through some other manuals, Redguard and Dark Earth have a lot of back story in the manuals.
-
also some games require you to read the manual just to understand how to play it. btw, Stonekeep came with a complete book (well a small and short one, but still quite some pages). Or the games Crusader No Remorse and No Regret came with various game world related printed stuff. Like a news letter of the in-game company.

Not yet, and maybe it never will. But it will track your gaming sessions. Unless you block *.doublefusion.com in your firewall. But I'm sure the full game will get in-game ads. And I doubt they will be in style.

Classic Videogame characters: Should they keep their trap shut?

A keyboard can handle a bit of beer... it might be a bit sticky, but then you'll simply clean it with some soap and hot water. It's the potato chips that are tricky. -
So.. instead of going for a degree help others getting their degree? Interesting... ah welll.. for me, I'm still busy finishing my Master in Computer Science (the last part of it, research and thesis). And then I'll be friiiii

hmm.. BDLA contains adware from Double Fusion by the looks of it it is only used to keep track of your game session, no ads are downloaded (yet)

Classic Videogame characters: Should they keep their trap shut?

I think the main character in Bioforge would work better if he kept his trap shut. -
why? I'd say screw him. If it was an american bridge it would be ok.

If that's the best oneliners you can think of for Freeman then don't bother creating that mod. Someone should add a voice to the left and right pong paddle -
If you feel like it, can you fix some bugs in the open source project I'm doing research on/with/for?

I meant time left for the children and the husband (the big kid) to play with the console. But yes, those are valid points too.
-
no they can't because otherwise there wouldn't be time left for the children and husband

First of all, wtf is Next Gen? Games for the new generation of consoles. But that's is apperently a complete lie. Why? Because you hear a lot of people "complain" than Next Gen games are way to expensive to produce. The question is, what makes the games more expensive than the current gen(eration). The only thing I can thing of is graphics. The whole shi(f)t to "High Definition". But if it's graphics that makes up next gen then a few of the new generation of consoles are not Next Gen: Nintendo Wii, Sony PSP, Nintendo DS. Or will games for the Wii be equally expensive to produce compared to gamecube games. So we're back at the graphics... ofcourse we all know graphics make the game.</sarcasm> Apperently it takes way more man hours to produce the graphic content of the next gen games, despite the better tools that have become available. Is it worth putting that much effort into creating high detailed graphic content if it doesn't have an effect on the actual gameplay. It drives up the production cost which is decrease the profit margin. So in the end, is it worth it? I would say no.
-
Then they shouldn't complain about it. Apperently they are not happy about it, then either start to live with it or change it.
-
hmm... quite some things that could have been done better if you ask me. the voice acting is quite horrible
-
Ok, guess it didn't come out as well as I want it to be. My point was not about the great new power that the next gen has to offer. My point was about a lot of industry people complaining next gen games are so expensive to create. Or is it just PR to make people less bad for forking over more money for a next gen game?

I agree.

Not much new stuff in that article, well except maybe the American prejudice about European creations. Is there that much difference between America and Europe w.r.t. game\movie creation? Wasn't Psychonauts created in the US?! -
I'm pretty sure I won't get an PS3, XBox3600 or even a Wii. But I'm considering to buy a Wii. But the main reason would be the ability to play old games and not the wiimote. Just noticed something... wtf is xbox360 in that movie.
