Legally they (government) can't do shit. Got to love the restriction on censorship. The only reason you can't get a copy of the Dutch translations of Mein Kampf is that the government stole the copyright and refuses to do reprints. But in 2017 (or something) it will be public domain and everybody can read the incoherent rants of Hitler. Anyway... No legal grounds to ban games/movies/books/... unless a new law is created to allows stuff like that.

I'm really enjoying this stuff.

Dennis P was nice. I've been programming, and finished Overlord recently. I first need money to buy hardware that can run BioShock. I did see a collectors edition (the one with a statue) at the local Mediamarkt.

That may be the case for House of the Dead, although... how can you fuck up a movie about killing zombies. But how do you explain Alone in the Dark? Source not good enough?
-
so... bioshock is like doom 3? but with more lights?

Germany will never get manhunt 2, so I left that out of the equation

Europe might still get the uncut version. UK is a different story

Last week I was in a Mediamarkt and I saw boxed Halo3 preorders. Yes, you could by an empty box with Halo 3 printed on it. preordering is nothing more than a marketing scam

I like the second quote. It really hits the head on the nail.

I give it two more weeks before the new SecuROM has been cracked. It's probably already broken, but not properly (like starforce was never completely broken). And then they're back where they started, except they have a lot of pissed of clients.

Tried Outcast once. Never played it for long, the camera and controls were very annoying.

What!? I just confirmed that picross is like sudoku w.r.t. : I like both picross and sudoku, actually picross is more interesting because it's not always the same puzzle. But it is always the same principle when it comes to solving them. Just like most other single player puzzles. Hmm... how about a sudoku picross crossover?

d'oh completely forgot MEAT CIRCUS!!!

it's the same, all single player puzzles are like that

A spin-off branches the currently established storyline. A line is defined by two points. If you only have 1 point and you're defining the second point it can only result in the creation of a sequel. You can't branch from a point. Of course you could observe the first game to contain a line (begin to end of the game) and branch on that line.

how about Edsger Dijkstra? and there are of course quite some people to pick from the pool of Dutch people chasing a ball on a large lawn

A sequel can be new. A sequel is nothing more that something that happens after whatever happened in the first <something>. It doesn't dictate the same people, similar story, etc. It just implies that it's in the same universe, and it happens after the events of the first <something>. A sequel for Psychonauts could be whatever happens in Lungfishopolis after Raz made a visit.
