How is 5.3GiB nearly half of 20GB (~19GiB)? It's not even 1/3rd.

Leaving 3 children (wth 2 of them being 2 years old) alone in a house while you are 120 meters away is a stupid thing. Checking in every 20-40 minutes is useless, you might as well never check (simple probability theory). It takes you more than 5 minutes to get to your children when you can react instantly. It's simply bad parenting.

sounds like a good title for a Leslie Nielson movie.

It's not the unrealengine that is complaining, it's safedisc. The game correctly identifies the CD rom drive. Anyway, so far the game is interesting. Although the level design isn't that great (currently in the sewers of the castle). If I compare it to Unreal1 they could have done a much better job in certain places (the outside canyon stuff to the castle is quite terrible). And the weapons are a bit odd, specially the air thingy, I'm having a hard time to hit people with that. Those smoke enemies are damn annoying. Anyway, I think Rune is much better than WoT (so far).

grrrr.... can't get it to work, it crashes at random locations [edit] Figured it out, downloaded the wrong no-cd patch. Of course if the damn program didn't insist that my external harddrive is the CD-rom drive that should contain the play disk it wouldn't be a problem in the first case. For some reason most safedisk games from that era have a problem with my current setup.

grrrr.... crappy video codec crap.... got booted to the menu after I killed shodan (that battle was easy). the flesh level sucked, why do so many games have a flesh level? (Psynchonauts, Doom 3, Half Life 2 ep 2, System Shock 2, Anachronox, F.A.K.K. 2, ...) and what's up with the crappy weapons... they jam every 5-10 shots

So far I like system shock 2, although I am getting a bit annoyed of the constant backtracking. The game world doesn't seem as dead as it was in Deus Ex, it's probably because of the log messages. The background story is a bit difficult to follow because you don't always get the messages in order, but that's only natural and thus a major plus. In Doom 3 all messages were in order, like a holywood movie where everything simply fits into place.

"F.E.A.R. The joy of sewers" sounds interesting.... nah... I like the ZP Daemon, it should get its own series. argh... that's terrible... half of it is unintelligible.

Frederick Raynal is working on a secret project. Not sure what Ancel is currently doing. But there is still some hoe for something new and interesting.

I did finish it, completely. I didn't think it was great because the world felt dead most of the time. And the fact that you had to go back to the same place over and over again. Everything felt forced. And the ending simply sucked (all three of them). I'm not saying it was a bad game, but it does feel overrated (to me).

I don't know yet. I didn't play Deus Ex when it was released, but only recently. I think it didn't age very well, because when I played it it didn't appeared to be that great. And it wasn't really the "low" graphic quality. And I still haven't played Invisible War, I once tried it but it didn't work on my video card back then. Maybe I should remove the shrink wrap (after I finished system shock 2 and wheel of time).

I liked it too. A bit chaotic at first, but much better the second time.
