  1. This is so awesome I have to post it. In the Little Big Adventure community there has been a project to create a CG movie of LBA1, after years the project never finished the movie. As an April fools joke they released the first part of the movie. Yet, instead of the CG movie, they released a "sweeded" version of Little Big Adventure.
  2. Can't you produce it yourself?
  3. Video: Game Developers Choice Awards 09

hehe... funny, to bad all his jokes about the Handheld category "disappeared"

  5. Braid

Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!
  6. Right, Outlaws. I loved that game, it's indeed the Best Western of Games. Besides Outlaws and Desperados I don't know a single good western game.
  7. DSi, or: I am a Nintendo whore.

My ds lite is still in very good condition, and I only play it a couple of hours every few weeks. Also considering that, even though WLAN is probably usable this time, it can't be used for older games. Which is a real shame.
  8. could be just me, or are certain people becoming even more insane? The maw was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the funny behavior of the maw. And I didn't feel sorry at all for letting the maw eat those creatures. I'm not sure what the relation was between the planet and the creatures on it. Afaik those creatures didn't belong on that planet, they were simply collected by those bad guys from different planets. It wasn't made clean at all in the story. I didn't buy the DLC for the maw, I don't like micro-payments.
  9. Flock!

Flock! demo has been released. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/03/28/woolly-liberatalism-flock-demo-out/ It's oldskool fun, don't know how the rest of the game is, but the demo starts to get difficult quite fast
  10. Flock!

Hm... just found out the game will get online activation (limit 5), the bad kind of securom. So unless the price is right I will probably not buy it.
  11. Books, books, books...

Pratchett, King, Adams... ysbreker, I approve your collection
  12. OnLive - high-end PC gaming without the PC

I never doubted the wii, also didn't doubt any apple product to sell ok. (never imagined the iphone to sell that well, because it's quite expensive even compared to other apple products). I have been amazed on how willing people are to spend a lot of money or relative small applications/games. Things I have doubted are the Killer NIC (just doesn't work) and the PhysX PPU card (too expensive for the return). And I also doubt OnLive, both on technical aspect as the service/profitability.
  13. Books, books, books...

I don't read a lot of fiction in the form of books. I find a difficult to keep attention while reading a book (I have less issues with that when reading it from the screen). The last book I read was "Clean Code" by Robert C Martin. It's a must read for every programmer (because it has a lot of good points). Anyway it's not fiction. A book I'm currently reading (while compiling, etc.) is a bit more fiction. It's based on real life events. It's "Managing Humans" by Michael Lopp (a.k.a. Rands In Repose). While it's a useful read, it's also funny in some cases.
  14. Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures

Finished it yesterday (yay, I'm better than ysbreker, hooray for me) And I also liked it. This whole WASD walking around was sometimes very annoying. For example when I needed to clear the bees from the village center, I would often walk into the bees or out the screen and return back home. One thing I really find awesome is the presence of finger prints on the characters. It really gave them a clay look.
  15. Reasons to dislike the British press #343

Man,... I must be worse than by now (using the emoticon in order to try to avoid Godwin)
  16. That's actually one of the reasons I don't like Steam. I currently do use greenhouse which is also ties your games to a single account, but unlike Steam it doesn't require me to start games from a logged in client. So in greenhouse using multiple accounts isn't a major hassle as it is with Steam. (and to cross ref a different thread, GfWL is worse than steam because that one doesn't even accept real money)
  17. Reasons to dislike the British press #343

Apologies mean nothing when you did something on purpose.
  18. That looks very complicated. zomg... I missed that
  19. have you tried to play it backwards? you should
  20. The transcript of the luncheon: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=22912 gamasutra is a bit overloaded with news, things get buried fast
  21. That picture... not much. The news paper has a high replay value, in the end you can use it as toilet paper.
