  1. http://twitter.com/georgeb3dr/statuses/1511574436 The amount of press "coverage" around this single message is simply retarded... It's 134 characters long. Most news items are at least one paragraph, and multiple sentences. Often including enormous extrapolations of those few pieces of data within that twitter message. Sure, there is a fair chance that it is about DNF. But the message itself doesn't say anything at all, except to those closely involved with the project this message is about.
  2. Regions? But, but, ... I'm from the internet. I also dislike region based localization. I've been in Germany for the past few days, and google.com always directs me do google.de, and uses German text. Even though my browser says it doesn't understand German. It's really annoying.
  3. Duke Nukem Forever Canned [and then not]

the DNF project was restarted a couple of time, so it wasn't 12 years of development. It might have been 2 year + 3 years + 3 years + 4 years.
  4. Duke Nukem Forever Canned [and then not]

publishing rights doesn't mean you can let an other studio make the game.

  7. George Broussard's twitter message

And now we know the Broussards twitter message wasn't about DNF, but about 3DRs closure I hope they'll kill the DNF project, and now scrape together what they have and release that.
  8. The video tutorials of UT3 were made by the guys from 3DBuzz. They also made 60 hours worth of stuff for UT2004, which wasn't all included with the UT2004 special edition. I'm also a sucker for special editions. But it has to be worth the extra money. Not like some of the recent EA special editions which costs a shit load more and don't contain any shit. My favorite special edition is probably the Darwinia/Multiwinia tin box thingy.

  10. Ecstatica

LBA wasn't that difficult. Sure, maybe in the beginning when you had problems not hitting walls while running around (you can disable that "feature" with LBAwin). Well, and the part in the pool with the flying grobos, that was a difficult part. If you have real issues getting past a certain part you are probably doing something wrong (i.e. drain the water form the pool, fighting in the wrong mode). LBA2 was just very easy, or at least when you used the protection and lightning spells. Completing the game without using either one you has a proper difficulty. I liked LBA1 more because it's generally more darker. In LBA2 is quite obvious who you can trust and who you can't. In LBA1 anyone can be your enemy. LBA1 has more mystery, because you can not see everything on the island. (although, the fact that I played LBA1 like 20 times before LBA2 was released could also be a reason why I like LBA1 more)
  11. Ecstatica

    hmpf, lba1 > lba2
  12. Shadow of the Colossus: the movie

Ron Howard should direct the GTA movie
  13. Does anybody know to force games into windowed mode?

DXWnd is the only solution I know
  14. Windosill

PC games cost around 50 euros, console games up to 70 euros.
  15. I think they both had a crappy ending because of the engine they both used. The scimitar engine isn't fit for proper endings.
  16. The DSi charger connector isn't the same as the DS lite charger. My brother had a DSi and the connector doesn't look like the one of my DS lite. It looks like a USB connector, but it also isn't that. Also, (really) crappy endings in games: - Assassin's Creed - Dreamfall - Prince of Persia (the new one) - Medal of Honor
  17. Windosill

    60€ -> 3 hours 3€ -> hour 60/3 = 20€/hour = 5€/15 minute sir you suck at math
  18. Henry Hatsworth and some other stuff

Yeah.. I think I'm going with GTA for the DS, have like 15 hours of traveling next week. And I don't want a frustrating game. (or are there any other recommendations? PC games for a +-1.5 GHz/Geforce 4mx are also possible)

  21. Game Covers 2.0

don't like a single one I think that thread of NeoGAF had some good designs
  22. Windosill

it's not worth $3, this is more like a $2 game
  23. The OTHER Pirate Bay thread...

It still bothers me that they use the term "piracy" for the act of "copyright infringement".
