  4. Greeeeeat... Say hello to the "misinformed" generation

"Believe it or not, that was entirely accidental. 10.5/10" -ign.com
  5. [PROTOTYPE] In Stores Today!

Played it for a few hour today, I didn't like it in the beginning, but after the abiliteasing was over it became better. But it's still quite chaotic. What does suck is that the performance of the PC version is quite terrible. The sound during the cut scene is quite broken. There's a long thread about it on the prototype forum, but not viable solution.
  6. FPS/simulation sickness

    turn based strategy games aren't
  7. [PROTOTYPE] In Stores Today!

Never played crackdown, and I'm still pondering about wtf the game is about. From the footage it pretty much looks like you're invincible. Maybe I'll give it a try tomorrow.
  8. don't like 6, 3 and 4 (in order of not-like-ness)
  9. [PROTOTYPE] In Stores Today!

hmm... could be interesting, what kind of DRM does the PC version have? edit: nevermind, found it, it's SecuROM 7, but without any activation. Now... if there only was a demo I could download.
  10. Greeeeeat... Say hello to the "misinformed" generation

I actually don't know how people writing reference material verify correctness of the information they write down, or even if they do so at all. Actually, quite a large part of information in reference material like Encyclopaedia Britannica can not be verified at all (i.e. history, assigned names, ...). But considering is has been in development since 1768 I think they recouped quite some of the costs of the research. And in that case it's no longer a matter of costs of production, but the value of information. But this doesn't have much relation to school books, or does it?
  11. FPS/simulation sickness

By that logic Portal would be an RTS game as well, because you are required to execute your strategy to solve the puzzle in real time. Just because a game is first person and as some sort of people like object doesn't make it a first person shooter.
  12. Greeeeeat... Say hello to the "misinformed" generation

Reference books, maybe. But not the average book used in basic education. In fact, most of what they contain are for a large part public knowledge, and even in that case the book creators fuck up .
  13. Greeeeeat... Say hello to the "misinformed" generation

    that made me smile
  14. FPS/simulation sickness

technically, Portal is not an FPS, it's more like an FPPG
  15. Where did the board complaining sub-forum go?

they should do it 10 days later, so that they can party like it's 19/9/09
  16. New people: Read this, say hi.

  17. Ass Ass In Creed Too

But the design of PoP was much more compelling that Ass1's design, which was quite repetitive and boring. But Ass1 also had a lot of those weird specially crafted elements, but not as obvious as in PoP. For example, quite some of those hiding spaces (hay or those curtain thingies) were on places only some wall runner could reach. The earlier PoP games (SoT, TT) looked much more natural. PoP:WW didn't, it had a lot of those weird traps which wouldn't make sense in a normal castle.
  18. Edge of Twilight

maybe, but there's also Brutal Legend
  19. Edge of Twilight

crap... guess I need to buy a PS3 ps, too bad they never finished Anachronox' story, one of my favorite games of all time.
  20. that ad really hits the nail on the head
  21. is it Explodemon! or 'Splosion Man? The latter is by Twisted Pixel, the "The Maw" guys. It sounds like the splosion man.
  22. Boycott Left 4 Dead 2!

    Oh... in that case G = game G = 5G 1 = 5 hooray the universe collapses
  23. Boycott Left 4 Dead 2!

One of the game was 3 years old, and all other 4 parts were not "full" games (and 1 part of that was a year old). Not saying it's not a nice deal, but it's not 5 games for the price of one.
  24. Telltale and Doctor Who?

I have my doubts it'll work, couldn't you simply sonic-screw-drive all puzzles?
  25. Can I just share something with you...
